Easy questions and no answers or followup questions. It was sad as usual for the press. Vance could have re listed after 4 years but didn't. His unit deployed again as well. Doesn't make him bad or Walz. Walz could have retired anytime in the 4 years prior. The unit was notified in July and went to train in the fall. They actually deployed to Iraq in March 2006. They usually deploy for 1 year to 18 months. That would require 2to 2 1/2 years more. He was already running for Congress and later won. That would have changed his orders anyway.
