Escheat is may be a revenue receipt because it can’t be capital receipt coz. Capital receipts are those receipts which either create a liability or reduces the assets but escheats doesn’t create any kind of liability because there are no such future obligations to return on it on govt. or neither they reduces govt. assets so answer may be revenue receipts ….
