Glad to see there is some sustainable tuna fishing

On your aluminum landing table you need to drill a 3/8 inch hole and insert a 3/8 inch by 6inch long bolt and let it stick up through the table. You wring those double hooks against the bolt and it unhooks them effortlessly and you don’t have to use your gaff. We have FV Nightwind out of Bodega Bay California, enjoy your videos great job

I worked on my Dads tuna boat following the fish from San Diego to San Francisco from 62 to 72. We pulled 11 lines only 6 were on gurdies. One of the most successful piece of gear was a 3 in wide piece of wet suit ang glued together to fit from the knuckles to the first joint on your longest finger the jig line did not slip or get away from you. I hope you will try them.

Would prefer dialog about what you are doing and why as opposed to the music.

Love seeing those tag lines flying high. Were you catching fish in an inside passage in that opening clip? Super close to land

I wonder if the freezer on this boat is capable of quickly freezing the albacore as they are caught.
@chodsky164 жыл бұрын
Great question Edward; the fish were frozen in the flash freezer at the stern of the boat before being passed through a tunnel to the larger freezer at the bow of the boat.

I'm working on a video for middle schoolers about sustainable seafood and would like to use some clips from this. We're a non-profit. Please let me know if it might work. Thanks! mmichelson@calacademy.org

Hey molly, I don't believe I'd have a problem whatsoever with you using parts of the video for educational purposes.
