As a R4D owner over the last couple years, this camera is WEIRD. But also absolutely incredible!

why do you think this camera is WEIRD?
@ChrisFranklinJr2 ай бұрын
@@JS_Leger the shape and form factor of it! It can only use certain lenses and it has a built in gimbal. Definitely not your “traditional” cinema camera but WELL WORTH the investment if you’re looking into it!

Beautiful work man, you really utilized the 4D very well and the images look amazing, the lighting, movement and motivation is excellent. Super tasteful use of a tool too. Most of the 4D content I see focuses way too much on trying to make it feel like it’s a Hollywood production or something rather that focusing on getting great cinematography. IMO, the tech of the 4D is what should allow or “free” you NOT to focus on the tech but to put your energies elsewhere to heighten the work, which is what you’ve done. Excellent!!

Oh man am I excited to recieve my 4D next week, coming from a FX6 (which is also amazing). But the 4D seems like something next level, great vid!

Such a fantastic insight into your workflow and head space during these shoots. A lot to be learnt from your films by budding cinematographers and filmmakers in general!. Thank you and keep them coming!

Dude, loved seeing this ad. Local, PA based DP/production company here (Kairos Creative Co. out of State College), been following Aumen for a while and the work they're creating for Camelback and it's always sick seeing what you guys pull off. Y'all are leading the charge of turning this central PA corridor down towards Philly into a really popping production hub. Keep crushing, man!

Loved this. Fantastic lighting, amazing to see the BTS. You'd never guess you guys were in a fort for the first restaurant shot, and the wedding looks great (lens flare tip was cool, and a nice insight into the little extras you can sprinkle on). Thanks for sharing!

Mate that internal chinese restaurant scene looks 👌. Great job on the wedding / reception look. Love the moving lekos, and that wipe across the bride in the cut, perfect choice editor. Set yourself up for success in that lighting setup and it paid dividends!!

What was your exact lens Setup did you also have a pro mist on? And as a 4d owner I often have the problem with noise in blacks. How did you feel about that ?

thank you, you said the thing at 2:00, not being that kind of DOP "bah let's do this with Ronin 2 and Teradek and a cine cam" etc (pretentious accent), this tool is nice for this project with lot of movements and skiing. At the end, it's the best tool for decent budget and image. I struggle between buying Komodo-X and the 4D, I do a lot of automotive, and your video helps me to choose the 4D for my use.

Thanks for sharing the breakdown! The VFX was great! Curious to know how much did you use the lidar AF vs a 1st ac/focus puller. Do you think one day AF will be good enough to not have a puller?
@carlostigs10 ай бұрын
It was okay. Worked well in some scenarios but others it had a hard time deciding what was supposed to be in focus. I don’t think it’ll replace anytime soon. Focus is a creative tool

Great video brother - what lenses did you use for this one? I know you mentioned Anamorphic but I'm curious to know how you can pair this rig with different adapters and lenses. Eager to try one soon.
@carlostigs10 ай бұрын
I don’t remember each one. Some Sony, some sigma and the Laowa nanomorph. It is interchangeable but not many lens will work due to weight
