Top country up there so many islands and rough bottoms, and when it blows it"s bloody rough with huge currents. Nice size tiger, easily chow down on a turtle or two, so a leg or hand is nice and tender. good filming keep it up, cheers

Wikid footage bud, had the option 20 years ago to go over for a trip but foolishly turned it down! Absolutely spewing now! Keep the footage coming! Do the have to have the antenna intact 100% for sale?

I used to work on a Trochus boat and took the diving for granted so far out ... wish I had my spearfishing channel back then ... would been some killer shots... where do guys work on the reef? Nice video mate 👌
@jakelukas66 жыл бұрын
Mostly the reefs in the torres straits, but on the coast mostly forbes, mason and cockburn reefs

How do you find numbers of crays like that!! Insane! Can someone explain that grab technique? Often when i grab em they get away and break feelers off.
@jakelukas66 жыл бұрын
Trade secret 😂😂 not sure if it works on all cray species but there is a sweet spot on the feeler which doesn't break easy
@fishhunter3486 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks mate I'll have to practice! I notice its a unique grab, with the middle finger down, does this allow for more grip on his antenna?

@@fishhunter348 Doesn't work on Western crays.......they just dump their feelers and their legs.........maybe painted crays are different ?

Not going to lie its pretty hard to get, there arn't many companies with positions available, most are family and friends run or you need to know someone. The biggest company is run by kailis in Cairns, could probably hit them up
