Isla Mujeres: The Journey North - A Family Sailing Adventure

After hunkering down in Roatan to wait out Tropical Storm Sara, we finally decide it's time to head north on our journey to the Bahamas! Join us as we navigate some unexpected sailing conditions that lead us to regroup in Punta Allen. Along the way, we encounter challenges and beautiful moments that make our adventure unforgettable. Eventually we arrive in Isla Mujeres, where we reunite with two great friends who are excited to join us for our next chapter. Come along for the ride as we embrace the highs and lows of sailing and creating lasting memories together!

What a great video. And, a challenge of a night in heavy seas. As my daughter says, "The adventure doesn't start until something goes wrong". A stuck haliard with the main half up, dark and weather and barf coming on is definitely something going wrong. Good on you to work a fix under trying conditions and story well told. With the dark, drizzly and cold here in the PNW your videos of wandering the beaches (even with trash) looks very inviting. I look forward to the next installment and with two friends aboard "something going wrong" may not end up much of an adventure.

Your journey gets more fascinating each episode. After the touching testimonial from Conor, I have to give (the modest) Kelly kudos for saving the day a couple times. Lovely island visits... if only some people on the planet would learn to dispose of trash properly! Maddie in good spirits, up for an adventure. Even on video I can enjoy lovely sun-horizon shots such as yours at 21:23. A good time at the sculpture museum; I think you did okay without the scuba. Unfortunate business with the bureaucracy at Mujeres: looks like they're running a racket. I expect the two friends you picked up will make for smoother sailing toward your next destination- a terrific one! Good luck on the voyage.

I really enjoyed the video I have traveled that area down in Guatemala from Naples Florida, but on the subject of garbage out of the locals and people don't realize something that garbage comes from inland too and when it rains it washes it out , you have to bury it and most of those countries don't have a waste management program many do try their best. I think it's crazy when people clean up the beach put it in a plastic garbage bag and leave it just a few feet up the beach the only way is to bury it. Wind and rain will take its toll and it will always go to the lowest point which is the ocean.
