Very cool guys. Happy that you touched on image usage fees. So many smaller companies don't understand the concept of more usage = higher price.

Look at software such as PhotoQuote which will give you a baseline figure.

How do you deal with it when the client is forceful in asking for a quote, with an implied threat that everything is off if you don't scream a number? Especially if you still need more information?

I've shot things that were supposed to be local usage and it ended up on a Billboard in Times Square. I've shot things for a local business and the national/international vendor of the product asked to use the shot on their instagram? I need to really lock down my usage agreements this year. I think there is no such thing as local usage anymore because of the internet.

if you find your clients budget lower than your rates, what you're saying is to lower our rates?

+Ezekiel Toh Each job is different, but commercial work often involves negotiating according to a company's budget for that project. Sometimes that does necessitate lowering your rates for that particular job if it's one you want.

The vocal audio always sounds great. Do you guys have a post production process for the audio for these types of videos, i.e. Eq, level adjustments? If so, do you have a video explaining that process?

"Professional commercial photographers all charge differently. You might charge by the hour, by the day, by the image, by the product - or by something else entirely." [Reference: www.clippingpathindia.com/blog/2017/08/15/how-much-charge-product-photography-outsource-editing/?Social&Discussion] Though price is the main driving factor for most of the online shoppers to make a purchase but that doesn't mean we to be quick to discount the value of product's photos. Its really expensive to hire a professional photographer. That’s why it’s important to hire the right person (the first time) so you can feel confident in your investment - and have photos that will impact your bottom line.

He's Jewish, no wonder he is a natural born seller and never quote a fixed price. It's typical for Middle East - no matter where you go and ask for price, you always end with "how much it's worth for you?". :-) And you can negotiate for hours... Damn!

MorZar Since when Jews are a fucking race, you brainwashed libtard idiot!? Saying that athlete runners from Kenya have natural born ability to run fast is same racist as telling that Jews are naturally born sellers? What a moron!

Athletism is a physical attribute, so yes it is genetic....buying and selling is cultural. They grow up in a social, cultural and religious environment that predisposes them to commerce... At most you could say that Jews have a high IQ, which is inherited. being smart is essential in business so alright a part of it is a racial ttrait of the semites (Jews & Arabs included)
