Commissioner Reagan (Tom Selleck) finds himself in a predicament-he has an exceptional cop, Officer Gilson (Sofia Vassilieva), under fire for posing naked for money on an adult website. After speaking directly to other members of her precinct-many of whom supported her but many who didn't-Officer Gilson is summoned to One Police Plaza. She is quick to defend her actions and offer her resignation, but Commissioner Reagan isn't having it.

Blue Bloods | Season 13, Episode 6
"Blue Bloods" is a compelling television series that strikes a unique balance between crime drama and family dynamics. Set in the bustling and diverse backdrop of New York City, the show revolves around the Reagan family, where each member has dedicated their life to public service, with many of them working for the NYPD. Led by the family patriarch, Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, portrayed by Tom Selleck, "Blue Bloods" delves into the ethical challenges, moral dilemmas, and intense cases faced by law enforcement officers while highlighting the familial bonds that bind them together. The show combines riveting police procedural elements with heartfelt family moments, making it a standout in the genre. With its strong ensemble cast, which includes Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, and Will Estes, "Blue Bloods" explores themes of justice, honor, and the complexities of doing the right thing in a city where crime and politics often collide. It's a series that not only keeps viewers engaged with its compelling mysteries but also tugs at the heartstrings as it portrays the Reagans as a family united by a commitment to justice and each other.

She did something perceived as bad by moralists standards on her free time, she was not breaking any law and it only was reported in the media because it generates viewers. The media *AND* most of the "normal" viewers will forget about the instance a week or a month from then, leaving only the ones hating the NYPD that *WANT* to hate it and using the case of a police officer being human as an excuse. If he would have fired her he would not have reduced any controversial thoughts against his police force but only placate haters for a second, but they would continue to hate. So yes, he made the right choice.

The series made me a bigger Tom Selleck fan than I already was and it's because of scenes like this. His character of Commissioner Frank Reagan is a man of wit, wisdom and simple common sense. Sad to hear the series is ending after this season but I'm looking forward to it.

Ive watched this show since its 1st Season. I love it. Frank really shows loyalty towards his cops under his command being a former cop himself. He refuses to let himself be pushed around. If he son's make mistakes on the job he doesn't let them get away with it he treats them like every one of his other 35,000 cops .

so the department she works for has no say in what she does but her choice of what she does reflects entirely on what she does. her stripping naked on the internet for money because her mother was sick basically tells you how low shes willing to go to get out of a bad situation. whats next, stiffing druggies because her son needs a new lung. stealing drugs bust money because her father needs new eyes. whats the point where you go 'okay thats enough'. morality is one of the reasons you become a cop. pay is never a concern here. if the money is cheat, leave the job and go be a hoe on the internet.

Thats true very true but it sets a bad example in the police department or any department for it that to being a female cop its tough enough for them to work in a male dominated person keeping there dignity-band self respect wothout posing nude and making it go viral for the world to see. Even though she may looked hot doing it. She makes it tougher for every women cop like her to be in that profession despite her economic situation for what she did

I think this truly gives a glimpse of humanity in a very dire, extreme, and desperate time in a person's life! The officer in question has a parent with stage 2 pancreatic cancer and no health insurance! Even the commissioner's pay can't help that! Would every cop be willing to give a dollar a day to help their fellow officer and would that be enough! There are probably some who would go to hell and back, but who would go through hell and push through to the other side ? I just know for certain is that I can't judge her for what she does! I know it is a show but it shines a light on the disparity of never earning enough money to save a life of someone you love!

In the ‘before’ times yes, she would have been fired! But the argument in the episode was a good one, and it’s true in real life what Frank said that “what an officer does off-duty isn’t of anyone’s business unless what you’re doing breaks and violates the law!” That’s like saying you can’t go to a bar off duty and have a drink with colleagues or friends! For as long as you’re responsible within your limits and know what’s acceptable to do and what not to do, there’s no harm, no foul.

It's a problem regardless of her skillset and abilities. My base was the largest in its service branch, having multiple training sites around it. These school cycles range from 3-6 months. She was a weekend pole dancer. Students attend the cycle, do their thing, and are assigned elsewhere. She can make more $ on a weekend in tips than her pay grade in a month. It also means she will use her "wiles" to avoid performing undesired duties. Many have used her discovered "hobby" for preferable assignments. She must NEVER allow her activities to interfere with her primary duties as a police officer.

But all the creeps and horny, desperate losers will harass her and she will need additional protection which will hinder her ability to do the job. Ya, sorry, 32 yr retired law enforcement and yes the ethics have gone to crap in regards to beards, tattoo’s, and other issues, but this is one thats way to far for any agency to overlook and allow to continue. She would have been on admin leave the moment this was found out and within weeks if not days she would have been terminated. Every department has this great catch all, “conduct unbecoming an officer” which means they can fire you for anything they want as long as they don’t like it. Not to mention the sexual harassment issues that would go along with this, its one big liability issue for the department that I don’t care if she was a nun who saved a handful of kids from a burning bus, she would be gone and never mentioned again in that department. This show is the make believe “woke” world that progressives cult members with multiple pronouns live. In the real world she wouldn’t have even had a meeting with him, she would have been dealing with IA who would have done it all.

But were you any good at it? Were you in the Rat Squad? How many shoot outs were you involved in? How many awards did you receive? How many times did you have to actually have to defend your partner? Did you ever actually draw your weapon? If she has a weapon, knows how to use it to defend me if it comes to that, and is willing to do so, then then she could ride with me anytime. Same thing applies to the military. I've shot it out with a number of female enemy combatants. Those women had no Back Up in them. They fought to the death. I had a great respect for them. It didn't stop my from killing them, of course, but I respected them none the less. I didn't care what my partner was or believed in, as long as they had my back. One of them wasn't even human (K-9, of course) but saved my ass a couple of times. Your one of those...ah... men (I use the term loosely) than think women shouldn't have the right to defend their country or their community, huh...

I enjoy the show, but am under no illusions. It shows a very clanish family who often have each other's back before anyone else's back. The people of color and women (except family or related others) are mostly negative or of questionable integrity whether they are reoccurring characters or not. There are very few incidents of them working in partnership with other people unless coerced in some way.

Didn’t know baker or Garrett till 1pp.. baker never had her own episode. She investigated somebody on one and other one she was assaulted n felt she’d been at 1pp too long n if she was on the streets still she could’ve stopped the guy 😪.
