That is fascinating. I learnt this in my first year of university. My high school teachers would not teach us this kind of stuff at high school. I think that was not because they were explicitly anti-Communist, but rather because it just wouldn’t count as history in their view. My first year university lecture was Marxist in the sense that he thought Marxism provided a great tool for understanding the world. But I don’t think he would have supported a revolution.

Very interesting, especially the broad comment that our reality is socially constructed. Absolutely true, from gender roles to racism to many other things. I'm going through these lectures and plan to listen to them all while I do some work in my house.
