Nice repair. Cool you can keep that older tech going.

as long as you can find the parts, there is so much information for these older systems most problems can be fixed.

Nice quick repair! I had a bunch of those Disky 5.25" diskettes back in '83 while I was in Germany.

Thankfully, a quick repair. Also, I like the case you printed for your PSU, and nice work on the diag multi-cart 👍!!!

Again a lucky repair and thanks to a few people. I have a idea to use a BCD rotary twitch on the diag cartridge with some 74ls logic to switch the rom hi/lo and exrom and game automatically when needed. going to work on a test soon.

the case is big because I designed the PCB so I could make it on my cnc mill, but ended up ordering the pcb with some others and kept the design.

nice... I was just working on a 1541 drive I got off Ebay for like $30 it was doing the same thing so I started probing around and I too have a bad 74LS06 but I all so think 1 of the 6522 at U2 is bad. but i have spare 6522 so i am down to getting that 7406

As long as the RW heads are not bad.

well, nice - however we still don't know, what was the problem-chip because you replaced 6 chips at once (as far as I understood) - lucky you, that you had them all in stock. ..As for me I've got the exact same problem (!!) - no floppy response etc. - and I've got the exact same board. With the oscilloscope I already checked the two hex-inverters (7406) and the hex-schmitt-triggered inverter (74LS14) and they seem to work fine. So what's left is the CPU and the two 6522-chips (which got, of course, not sockets and of course I don't have them as spare-parts in stock). Where should I start? Do you have any idea, which was the bad one? :) thank you

it says in the description "I then tested the hd7406 in my mini pro and found one was bad. So i replaced them both with new 74ls06 and tested again with the 1541 diagnostic rom and everything then worked" Any other chips I removed I put back in and still had the fault I didn't remove them all at the same time.
