Addition : "throw under the bus" means "to put someone into the troublesome situation" It was new to me so I hope it helps others too

It sort of means betraying. Like letting someone take the blame for some wrong doing you did. Not just merely putting someone in a troublesome situation.

1) break a leg - hey Siya, break a leg. I know u will perform very well. 2) once in blue moon - i read story books once in a blue moon. 3) to feel under the weather - I am feeling under the weather today, since i hv got terrible cold & fever. 4) on cloud nine - i hv got promotion today, wow i m on cloud nine. 5) raining dogs & cats - how can we go out now, its ranining cats n dogs. 6) speak of the devil - hey sara.. speak of the devil..I was just taking about ur new car. 7) spill over the beans - dont worry ma'am..I know its confidential, I will not spill over the beans. 8) Let the cat out of bag 9) break two birds with one stone 10) its a piece of a cake

Another good one for “pain in the neck” is “bellyaching” . Example: -“What is all the bellyaching about ?” -“Rather than ‘bellyaching’ about the situation, why don’t ‘roll-up your socks’ and ‘get with the program’ ? “
