Catherine, my name is Catherine too, I’m 72 yrs old and have the same exact problem as you with hooded eyes! Thank you and bless you for bringing this to Johnny and Kevin’s attention! I’ve had so much trouble applying shadow and getting it even on my eyes that I was frustrated to tears! Johnny and Kevin thank you so much for these instructions! As always, I’m writing this in my JK Beauty Book! Your question was priceless, and I totally understand where you’re coming from, as I have same problem! You hit the nail right on the head! It’s a compliment to you that you made so many people including our hosts smile! Thank you so much Catherine from Canada! The advice from Johnny and Kevin makes so much sense and easy to follow, let’s get out our brushes and makeup and get beautiful without being bothered! I was so excited, I managed to wake my daughter and the cat with my yell! Apart from hearing my own voice, which was embarrassing, I am so grateful for the advice. Yes, I am white and super pale. The pink hair was so vivid it was a real shock to the system. It is semi permanent so I am currently rocking a bubble gum pale pink on my white hair streaks (old), which is much kinder to me. That will teach me to think I am 18, when I am not. I did go crawling through neolithic cairns in full make up yesterday. I felt great. You two are the best.

Your answers to your favorite makeup step were totally logical and, this is not an insult, somewhat predictable. Kevin obviously has the lips for lip products, and Johnny obviously has the eyes for eyeshadow, and the oily problem skin types (like me) always appreciate complexion products. Growing up with problem skin in the era of Sea Breeze and Oxy Pads made me always covet pretty skin. To this day, foundation is "hope in a bottle for me" as I continue to try to have what I can consider "beautiful skin".

Full transparency and absolutely no intent to insult/offend... If you haven't done so already, please look into ADHD. It's a thing where we never feel like we belong anywhere and find it so hard to be ourselves completely. I felt the exact same way for the majority of my life but was recently diagnosed and I'm much happier to now who I am and why I am the way I am. And I allow myself to be me more without shame or to avoid judgment. You are incredible. And offer a lot to so many people. But it's sad to hear you say you feel like you don't belong because I've been there. I'm not trying to diagnose you. I'm just offering you something to look into. ❤ Both of you are amazing. Ow! Never regret what you went through to become who you are. Granted, some paths might have been easier, but they wouldn't have resulted in you being you. Life is a journey, we do the best we know how at the time, and as we learn more, we do more and hopefully that means better. Claim your struggles! They made you you! Maybe not the path you would have chosen, but the path you were given, and now you need to make the best of it. You are fine just how you are now. If you improve, you are better than you are now but couldn't have gotten there without going through they you you were then. Rejoice in the fact that you took your circumstances and made improvements instead of wallowing in self-pitying inaction. No one can diminish you unless you let them. I think you both are fabulous, and brave to be who you are. If you ever make it to central Florida, I will aggressively mother you both to the point of panic. XOXOXOXO

I almost always do some kind of neutral lip- black, nude, muted pinks etc- and a slight pop of complementary color on my eyes. For example: when I have pink hair, I like to put a touch of green into my eyeshadow. Maybe along my waterline, or corners of my eyes, or along my brow bone and then kept everything else warm brown and bronze. Good luck, fashion colors are so much fun!
