As long as a base coat is in the mix, for polishing....I have no problems when I full on buff the nail. But I will say, buffing can also reveal any flaws in the nail...no matter how small..so I think I'm going to try this method of the protein bond, color, and then top coat and see how it works out, thanks guys❤❤❤

Which top coat do you think gives the most shine please. I have the stain resistant and mani-Q but not the no wipe top coat. So for a non hairdresser which top coat is the most glossy and glassy looking please???? I didnt know that mani-Q top coat was the best for a glitter press that was a mic drop moment for me thanks xoxo I've been using YN Acrylic for a 2yrs now and love it. But I used other Acrylic for the past 16 years so I feel the struggle of not trying to buff a french acrylic set to glossy perfection I had a HUGE right bicep and deltoid lol I LOVE STAIN RESISTANT YAY!!!!!! QUESTION. Which top coat do you think gives the most shine please. I have the stain resistant and mani-Q but not the ultimate finish. The ManiQ Top Coat cures with a very high shine but does have a tacky surface. For the highest shine, use the ManiQ Cleanse to wipe the tacky surface off. If you are wanting a no-wipe, Ultimate Finish is also a high shine.

By pulling do u mean the separation of gel where after you cure it is like missing areas that where there before and now not so it looks like u got some areas that u didn't put the top coat on

I thought I could only use the protein bond on the natural nail before applying the acrylic. So I can also apply the protein bond before I add the final gel top coat??

Hi there, I do gel extensions and typically use gel polish once the nail is built for colour. I finish with stain resistant but find sometimes people experience spider webbing cracks when they come back. I know it doesn’t flex on gel polish but I thought with hard gel underneath this wouldn’t be a problem. Is there any other reason this could be happening?

The Ultimate Finish gel works great for chrome application. Put one coat on the nail & cure for 30 seconds. Immediately after it comes out of the light, apply your chrome powder. Finish with two coats of Ultimate Top Coat to seal & make sure you’re capping around the edges.

@@kim9119131 a little tip when using chromes or foils. Etch the free edges with a 180 grit file gently a couple of times, then apply your top coat, make sure to cap the free edges. The etching gives the top coat something to stick to so it prevents chipping or peeling ☺️. I’ve never had any issues since I started doing this years ago. Xx

I’m having an issue with the matte top coat wrinkling and bubbling several days after being cured. I roughen up the nail, I cure the polish a full 90 secs, I don’t remove the sticky layer, then I add the top coat. It will be fine for a few days then it starts acting up. I only ever do one thin layer of gel polish and top coat because I hate bulky nails. I’m also using a brand new $200 LED lamp. I should also mention that this does not happen with your stain resistant top coat. I currently have both on different nails, only matte is a problem😢

You can use stain resistant on top of an enhancement, yes.

I am new to this process. I am going to travel for several months so I will be doing my own nails. My nail gal uses only Young Nail products. I am interested in Fiber Gel with Keratin to strengthen my short nails. Can I apply one coat of Fiber Gel (cure) then white Go Time White for the tip (cure) then ManiQ Top coat - then cleanser? Or should I just forget the french nail all together and just use the Fiber Gel?

You can 100% do that or just use the fiber gel. Both are fine.

@@vatishacarney2270 dang stain resistant too?! I was hoping to try that next 😣 I regularly do gel pedicures with Gelish and my toes stay shiny forever so it’s def not my light. I thought it was my application so I used a 150 file to rough it up, swipe, protein bond & applied it again and it happened again after a week ☹️

Does anyone know how to get that perfect light reflection off a gel top coat especially over nail art? I’ll put a top coat over the nail, buff, and then put a 2nd top coat over that but it still looks lumpy or uneven.

The light will only reflect perfectly if the nail is completely smooth. When doing hand painted nail art, try our Mission Control gel paints. They are very pigmented so you can use less paint & still get very detailed designs without the bulk.

Hi, After I file nails with 150 file the nails still have scratches that after applying gel polish still I can see scratches.

We use swipe after finish filing and then a coat of protein bond before applying gel polish. The protein bond helps fill in the scratches.

Stain Resistant is a hard gel top coat that is designed to be used over acrylic and hard gel enhancements. If you are using it one a soft gel or product that is very flexible or a natural nail gel manicure, it can crack.

What are you using for your white? If you are using a gel, make sure it is fully cured before applying your top coat and it shouldn't smudge.

Base Gel is a hard gel from our Synergy Gel line. Hard gels are designed to build & sculpt extensions with. They will not soak off with acetone. As for base coat, which one are you asking about? ManiQ Base, Conversion Base or Caption Base?

I once applied on natural nails over maniQ and cracled. You have to make one that doesn't stain for natural nails with maniQ .It will be perfect

Unfortunately, for the top coat to be stain resistant, it needs to be non-porous like hard gel. Soft gel is porous and can be soaked off so it can't be stain resistant.

You don't need to cap our acrylic powders. If you are doing any type of design like baby boomer, glitter smile line or glitter in general we do cap in clear so the design doesn't get messed up. It’s not necessary to cap colored acrylic, but I like to because it sets up faster and I like the filing better. Our slickpour (dip powders) can be used with monomer as colored acrylic.

I have the biggest issues with thumbs and it doesn’t matter what brand of top coat I use. I cannot make people understand that they have to hold their thumbs so the light can cure them. I even have a fast cure light for them, and I’ll do them separate. I still have peeling
