it's not naive. it's actually pretty smart. two of the cats shown in this video have had bad experiences with past owners. might explain why they're on red. perhaps the owner of the adult cat who doesn't like her rear touched was beaten in that area and has since healed from a wound, whether it be internal or external, or a break of some sort. what if the tuxedo had also been treated the same way? you don't know what they've been through. but they wouldn't be this way had it been for those experiences. so yes, clock is correct. all cats ARE green when you respect them. they're only yellow or red when they are treated differently(and can also be brought back to green through showing of respect once more).

@@ems4884 no it's very true. The only time you see a cat that may be aggressive is if they are feral or if mistreated by Humans. If I see a house cat aggressive with the owners, all that tells me is the owners are bad.

Some cats are just more aggressive than others and sure you cant treat a cat with respect but a person whos never been around it wouldnt know that so the indicators are very helpful so a person knows to be more cautious around those cats. My cat would be fine and the next would bite me for no reason.

closest animal shelter here doesnt even respond when you try contact them and warn which animal is aggressive. they also decide on if you can take the animal based on prejudice.

@rik same here. it's so sad to see so many animals being, well uhm.. sent away due to them simply turning people down from only seeing someone. it's the main reason why so many rescues are overwhelmed with animals so much of the time, and why foster parents and other types of volunteers are so needed. you're not just helping the animal itself, you're helping thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands, of animals stuck in shelters that don't have a place to stay by opening up space for them. i don't think many people understand how easy it is to become a foster parent/volunteer either, and that also makes me quite disheartened.

저희 아가도 2번 파양되고 제가 3번째 집사에요. 첫날 더이상 파양되기 싫어서 집에 도착하자마자 저에게 애교부리고 골골송할때 정말 울컥하더라고요ㅠ 점점 마음을 열다 애교도 부리고 하는데 저희 집에 온지 1년이 다되어 가는 지금도 아직 제 눈치를 봐서 마음이 진짜아파요ㅠㅠ

Having worked at a shelter myself, I can tell you some cats just need a little time to adjust, and behave “badly” initially (they’re just scared of the sudden change in environment and some of that manifests in defensiveness) but are actually sweeties. That probably happened with Adeline. She just hadn’t come out of her shell when she was initially categorized. That’s why the color markers are fluid things and a cat’s color marker can be changed. Red dot cats that continue being red dot cats after a while are either still scared (and need some TLC, like Midna, who needs people to hang out in the same space as her as well as be tempted to engage in play by people to build up her confidence) or they have signs some people who aren’t as familiar with cats might not see (like someone might miss Chloe not liking her rear touched, and they factor that in when assigning her color). They’re not categorized that way to steer people away, but just to let people know they should have some experience with kitties if they want to adopt red dot babies (i.e., a red dot cat probably shouldn’t be a person’s very first cat, and should probably go to a quieter home). At the shelter I worked at, we also had adoption counselors that helped match people with the right cats. :3

Chloe was probably only labelled nippy because she doesn’t like it when people touch her back, but I bet tons of people come in and just do it anyways because they think it’s funny or don’t understand that it’s her way of saying “please stop”! it’s clear she gives warnings, too, so anyone getting bit is probably just a dummy

It’s actually pretty common for cats to dislike being petted there. I used to volunteer with cats at my city’s Humane Society, and we were trained to avoid petting that area. We didn’t want to freak them out, because if one of them bit someone, even if it wasn’t a big deal, the cat would be off the floor and back in a cage for ten days for observation. It could even prevent one from being considered adoptable. I avoid it with my own cat, except for the tiny area right at the tail. He loves to get scratched there!

That’s exactly what my boy does. He’s had arthritis since he was young, and injuries from fighting cats when he lived on the street. But he was in a house once, because he came right up to my apartment complex for food. I adopted him not long after.

That was my thought. She may have arthritis or something. My youngest cat doesn't like her hips pet either but vets found no visible problems, so it is odd. Some cats have boundaries and people need to understand their signals better.

So the main reason animals either like or dislike above their tail touched I've found through research is, the spot is very sensitive and can also kinda give them that sorta 'frisky' feeling. I feel like, animals are just like us. They have their own emotions, they have their own personalities. I could prefer my hair played with as to where you don't enjoy it. Every cat is gonna be different, that's why when they find their forever home their humans will bond and see their true personality for how it is. You don't truly meet a cat the first time you encounter it. Cats take a while to entrust in you and reveal themselves to you. You sorta understand them a lot more once you own one and interact with it on a day to day basis. :)

@@tenderness4uu 이건 고양이가 아닌 강아지 얘기인데 참고하시라고 적어봐요..! 중학교때 친구가 집에서 강아지를 키우는데, 저를 잘 따랐거든요. 근데 쓰다듬을때 엉덩이쪽으로만 가면 영상에 있는 고양이처럼 사나워지는거에요. 친구가 이유를 알려줬는데 같이 살고 계시는 친구네 할머니가 강아지를 혼낼때 엉덩이를 때려서 그쪽으로 손만 가면 물려한다고 하더라구요. 일종의 트라우마일 가능성이 있어요.

I really love this video because it shows that with cats, (especially ones that have had bad experiences with people) you just have to be aware of their body language and respect what they're telling you. Chloe doesn't seem to be a nippy cat, people just didn't listen to her when she told them to not touch her butt. @@JungTeddy 파양하는 이유는 많죠 뭐 보면 너무 시끄럽다라던가 애가 너무 예민하다던가 성격 못견뎌셔 파양하시는 분도 있고 알러지있다는거 늦게 알았거나 가정사정 예를들어 부모님반대라던가 애생겨서라던가 이런식으로 파양하는경우도 많구 물론 동물을 키우려면 그런건 다 미리알아보거나 감수해되는데 참 책임감이 없긴하죠 ㅠㅠ 근데 강요할수는 없는부분이니까 저도 참 안타까워요

클로이 눈이 정말 예쁘네요. 조금 시무룩한 느낌이었는데 점점 시간이 지나니까 조금씩 밝아지는 느낌이 드는 것 같아요. 게다가 아델라인 골골송이 무척 크네요.. 파양의 경험이 있다니 저렇게 사랑스러운 냥이들을 누가ㅠㅠ 안타깝네요.. 입양은 신중히 책임져서 했으면 좋겠어요.

i've fostered "red" level cats before. you need to have a lot of patience with them and they will open up over time. you speak very softly and kindly to them - I think they must understand you are a good person so they let you pet them :)

This is was a very soothing video, it’s good to see someone as nice as you giving these cats attention. I love when people help others understand how to be patient with kitties. Also I think Adeline most likely has problems play “biting” (as her description said she loved to play, and she didn’t seem agitated one bit) like a lot of dogs do, I have a cat that will nip me sometimes while petting him, and he does it to show that he wants to play.

빨간냥이들이 얼마나 사나울까 생각하며 봤는데 클로이를 보니까 서서히 경계심을 풀고 기대는 모습이 빨간냥 아이들은 공격적인것이 아니라 그저 마음속에 다른 냥이들 보다 큰 아픔이 있어서 그런 것 같아 하니 괜시리 마음이 아프네요ㅠ

저희집 아이 보는거 같네요. 두 번의 파양 후에 저희집으로 온지 1년 째에요. 초반에는 피도 보고 매일이 전쟁이었는데 이제서야 차츰 안정되어 가는거 같아요. 그래도 여전히 예민하고, 겁 많고, 시간이 필요한 아이에요. 제발 파양하지 마세요. 아이는 당신이 세상의 전부입니다.

클로이라는 고양이 저희집 고양이랑 너무 똑같아서 놀랬어요 저희집 고양이도 얼굴에서 목 근처까지는 괜찮은데 엉덩이 부분은 만지는거 진짜 엄청 싫어하고 자기가 몸 대는건 괜찮은데 제가 만지는건 거의 안되는게 대부분 .. 아주 지 멋대로 흑흑 파양된 애들 너무 불쌍하기도 하고 빨간냥이인데 집사님한테는 애교쟁이가 되는게 너무 신기하네욬ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

내동생 고양이도 보호소에서 빨간냥이였어요 처음엔 숨고 보이지도않다가 밤에 귀에 그르렁거리다가 이젠 여기저기 누워있고 애교쟁이 사랑스러워요. 파양하지 마시고, 사랑해주시고, 사랑할방법을 모르는 사람은 어설프게 다가가지 말아요. 어떻게 함께 살아갈지 배우고, 천천히 시간이 듬을 이해해야해요. 그 작은 아이들을 기다려주고 다정히 대해줘서 고마워요.
