common problem with new Holland hay rake

Thank you very much! The basket on mine stopped turning, and the handle which engages the gear wants to keep popping out of position. Going to try to do the repair myself before raking hay this season. Watching your video helped a lot.

You had me at "New Holland". My uncle Jesse was a farm equipment mechanic. I've heard some tales in my life. And just like when Jesse would talk about his work, I have no idea what you're talking about! LOL

Whoever is rebuilding a gearbox, do not go to a dealer. Most local parts stores will have the bearings. You need 3 LM67010/LM67048 and 1 of an LM11910/LM11949. The seals you'll have to order, SKF 19745. You can use rtv on the cover, but if you want to use a gasket, NH p/n 48181.
