My ZEISS 10x42 Victory came (from new) with very visible dust inside the right hand half. ZEISS have suggested sending them to their (non-ZEISS) preferred service agent in the U.K. for attention. I’m contesting this as I paid ZEISS prices for ZEISS service. I’m a bit disillusioned with the backup from ‘premium’ makers.

Some of those service shops have comparable equipment to factory service.

I think you made a mistake here !.... From what i've read, and to avoid any contamination, Swarovski now refuses to repair because of fungus (I think it's the same with Leica).

i guess i just need to take good care on my binocular to expand its life time since i got no choice when it broke other than buying a new one 😅
