Common Student jobs in Sweden

During my time as a student in Sweden, working as a reklam (advertisement distributor) was a very common job to earn money. I recall that around 97% of students took up such jobs to make ends meet. It involved distributing pamphlets and brochures to households and businesses. While financially helpful for students, it was also quite physically demanding and required working in all weather conditions.

Hi Funke, dunno if you watched the video, but I mentioned the average pay at the beginning. Some of the jobs I mentioned are mostly common in big cities. During the early times of corona, they were not that easy to get. But now that thinks are opening up. I believe it won’t be as difficult as before.

Hi Emmanuel, the extra jobs may be taxed depending on how much you are paid for an outing. It cannot be your main job and doesn't fulfil the criteria for getting a permit.

If youre lucky enough you should be able to secure a personal number under 6 months, although its not quaranteed. As of residence yes you can easily find apartments specifically for Uni students

Hi Mina, most jobs will require a personal number/coordination number. It takes approx 3 months (more or less) to get a personal number. I got mine within 3 weeks. But different people have different experiences

Hi Bharba, no you don’t need a work permit. As a student your residence permit qualifies you to work.

Possible, but usually companies begin to take you seriously as an applicant one or two months before your graduation. Otherwise, you'll just get rejection emails.
