These videos have been a godsend to me. I am fixing up my 360t that my grandfather gave me when I was a teenager. Now I'm almost 40 and can finally get it working. Thank you so much for the videos.

Just one more reason why we should all buy all of our motorcycle stuff from Common Motor- we must support these videos!!

I'm getting ready to restore my old college bike, a Honda 1980 CM200T (Twinstar), and I've learned so much from watching your vids. Bike used to run great....in the '80's...except for boiling the water out of batteries and blowing headlights (this was last year for 6V system). Now it runs well - randomly - 3 or 30 miles...then sputters and dies. Let it cool. Starts up!

Thank you Brenden and Common Motors, you are well spoken and easy to follow along with. I have purchased several parts from your store and intend to get some more very soon. Very informative videos.

Two thoughts - all chains can stretch. So, how do you know when the cam chain has stretched beyond its' useful range and should be replaced? Also, how do you access the chain if it has skipped a tooth? A comment on your other video mentioned that rotating the engine backwards (against the arrow) can cause the chain to skip a tooth. There is a local bike advertised that used to go 80 mph easily but now can't go over 40 mph even after the carb was cleaned and the ignition timing checked. I'm thinking it sounds like a jumped chain.

Hi shouldn’t the LT mark be at 11o clock and then the 90degree angle? I believe that’s what you showed on the other video. Thanks for these videos.

Hello my friend. CB 360T finished except I can't seem to seal the header pipes and your mufflers. Also, I seem to have an odd sound from the top of the engine I can't explain. If you will let me, I'll do a yt with the sound and let you tell me what I need to do. It's a high sounding noise that may be the valves that I adjusted according to your vid.

Hey great video!! Very specific and informative. Can this adjustment be applied to a cb350 K4? I would be lost if it weren't for video tutorials like this. Also, you have another video for adjusting the timing on a cb350 F. Can that video be applied to a K4?

In the 350 and 450 you have to make sure that the adjuster indexes all the way
@dwadholm17 жыл бұрын
In the 350f four cylinder you do this with the engine warmed up at idle. That could be why some people ask that question.

gotta recommend the new TTR400 bolt also works w cb350-4 and cb400-4 Keeps horshoe static position Instead of spring Tensioned positioning.., as springs wear out, horseshoe drops further down, tensioner applies less chain tension, cam chain skips a tooth or throws eventually

Is this the same process for the 1970 CL450 as well?

is this method the same for the cl350?

What would be the effects of not adjusting the cam chain please? I'm trying to eliminate a knocking noise from my engine. Thanks

the timing chain skips a tooth on the gears...... and causes the timing to be off if it skips a few teeth..... valves hit pistons

... apparently the cam chain adjuster bolt has snapped. HELP!
@californiamonster88774 жыл бұрын
Don’t worry about the top bolt anymore just close up the hole with a short bolt. Buy this for he bottom bolt. 4into1.com/ttr400-manual-cam-chain-adjuster-bolt-honda-cb350f-cb360-cb400f/

Is there Suppost to be oil in the charging system or stator area.
@Common-motor3 жыл бұрын
Yes, just a little if you're on the center stand. If you open it on the side stand quite a lot of oil will come out.
