The topic of slavery is a sensitive one as many nations can claim that they have been effected by and through slavery however African nations where not as badly effected as many other countries were. This still does not mean that African nations have not suffered, however reparations for slavery can be taken back to any timeline and sadly intertwine with so many nations history to the extent that paying reparations is murky to say the least. Dependant on the timeline of the world almost every nation has suffered from the effects of slavery. Many people do not know that there are more slaves estimated as being in slavery today in the world then there has ever been before. This is a very sad thing and reflects badly on many nations in the world including African nations, as there were slaves in African nations recorded first in history by African peoples long before any Europeans arrived onto the continent. The conversation of reparations however is being discussed by British colonies in the pacific nations primarily not by African nations, although paying reparations is almost like putting an excusable price on slavery and colonization which is not something that can be undone by money. Countries should be given economic help not only financial help, and natural resources should be returned although this is almost impossible. For example the British museum is more like the museum of stolen world art and history.

This is the stupidest take both by modern media and the previous colonies....literally every society in history practiced slavery in some form or other....Ya the British, other Europeans and Americans carried out slave trade, but so did the Arab kingdoms like the Ottomans enslave people from Africa, Europe and even India. All this wanting Europeans to apologies for slavery and colonialism is stupid....These small European nations were able to capture the rest of the world because they got better at technology, politics and fielded better trained armies...meanwhile we lost because we were still living in Mediveal age (while Europe modernized) and spent most of our time fighting amongst each other and in many cases even helped the Europeans for selfish reasons.
