The pursuit of immortality is a futile endeavor. Despite scientific advancements, death remains an inevitable part of the human experience. Spending resources to extend lifespan is ultimately a vanity project. If we haven't seen a person alive from the 1700s or 1800s, it's a clear indication that our current understanding of biology cannot defy the laws of nature. Let's focus on making the most of the time we have.

Palki might bark all she wants with her so-callled dry humour, but her brain cannot fathom the larger picture that Bryan is looking at. You see, he is trying to further the human race and what we need to understand is that while he may not achieve the ultimate goal, he will definitely help future generations with longevity and better quality of living - with the help of science. Humans have come a long way in improving outcomes related to health and Bryan's endeavour is to fast track this with science in his own way. Even if he is successful to a minor extent, it will definitely help future generations. Kudos to him!!

Human body is complex. And don't forget the fact that you are a soul and not just body. So anti ageing , immortality is not just a physical concept but also a spiritual one too. It is as complex as unknown universe.

And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.

@@Barraskewda7814Buddhism too is guess work based. No one really knows what buddha saw in his enlightenment, what were the answers he found. They say he found answers and shared it. But does not say anything about the answers itself. All the stuff related to actual knowledge is pretty vague and mumbo jumbo, without even a concrete theory.

Longevity of life can be useful for internet planetary travel. Also, it is not about longevity of life - will your physical functions be as good as someone 30-40 years younger? I think it is a worthwhile pursuit. No pain. No gain. These folks are the pioneers. Who knows? We may get a reasonably priced anti-aging drug in our lifetime.
