Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Commonwealth PhD Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.
Purpose: To contribute to the development needs of Commonwealth countries by supporting research that will have a developmental impact. These awards will also enhance individual teaching and research capacity leading to increase institutional capacity in academic and other sectors in Commonwealth countries and will contribute to UK higher education and research by attracting high-calibre international candidates and encouraging links and collaboration.

Dr. Muhammad Naveed obtained PhD degree in Biotechnology (Genomics & Bioinformatics) from QAU, Islamabad with distinction. He has won PhD indigenous & IRSIP scholarships from HEC. He has done Pre-Doc research from University of Ghent, Belgium. HEC awarded best PhD (IRSIP) Scholar of the year 2013 & QAU honoured him as “Distinguished Alumni” in 2017. He is doing research in Bioinformatics & Molecular Biotechnology. He has supervised 25 MSc., 30 MPhil. & 01 PhDs. He has published 51 research articles, 01 book and 03 book chapters. Hi. I went through this video and I have a question. If I am applying for scholarship in 2022 i'd be applying for a session that starts around September 2023. So in September 2022 scholarship will open for next year fall session of the university. My question is, how can I apply for a university course that I will study next year in 2022?
