Before I continue watching the rest of the show, I just want to congratulate you both, Kal and Huma, for having written your books and now sharing your personal experiences and thoughts as children of Asian or South Asian parents that I am also (Southeast Asian in my case, to be more specific). There aren't many significant stories out there that talk about children of South Asian descent who are American citizens and who are into American politics that we can use to educate and motivate young men and women of a minority group to effectively participate in American politics, not necessarily as politicians. In fact, activists have always been our unsung heroes who tremendously push the American agenda that values equity and basic human rights here in the country that is emulated around the world. I wish you both much success and continue to stay humble because, as we know it, humility is a necessary part of our Asian culture that enables us to go a long way in whatever good we do in life. ❤️ 🇺🇸

This is such a great conversation! I saw one interview with Huma on MSNBC , and I was so impressed that I picked up my phone and ordered it on Kindle. I’ve already read Huma’s book, and this conversation is different. The beginning of the book is so great, I began to hope that we wouldn’t even get to Anthony. I really like Kal’s work on House, and his journalism too. I used to get him mixed up with Cal Perry, and I would be so disappointed when it wasn’t Kal Penn on the report. I loved Huma’s story about meeting the Prime Minister of Bangladesh because my daughter-in-law is from there.

What an astounding, articulate, elegant and brilliant person. What a great example to us all about objectivity, reflection, responsibility and reciprocity. Further, she illuminates compulsive behavioral reenactment, which was identified by Freud, then Bessel van der Kolk, and since around 2000 has been internationally accepted as part of Trauma theory. What a beautiful, courageous heart ...

Why would Huma be given any time on any station, channel, airwaves. Please research the list of major crimes and coverips she is involved with. Sure she wasn't executed at Gitmo?
