I had to re-do my inventory at the start of this year which was about 13,000 items. I found 3 that weren't listed, and they were because they had VERO'd and once the item was deleted I couldn't find the SKU. I found about 100 items that had no SKU at all, which were 100% my mistake (listing at 3:00am, after a night out, etc).

A couple of days ago I used the bulk editer to reduce my prices by one third on everything, and within hours was rewarded with the sale of a heavy/bulky lace tablecloth which I believe its new owner will appreciate, perhaps at Thanksgiving Dinner. Shipping was paid too and it fit into a flat rate padded envelope. It's no big deal, but then I run a very small, one-person operation out of a very small apartment, so I welcome any and all sales. Hoping before the month's out I'll have many more like that one. The weather is (finally!) beginning to ease up and I've been so anxious to create more listings for the 'season'. Always keeping it under 250 items though, because insertion fees add up quick.

I'm a big Q4 seller. Last year half of all my ebay income came from sales in the last two months of the year. Conversely, I believe I had a total of either 3 or 4 sales from May to August (thankfully I was still working part time outside of the home). I've had to really fluff out my listings this year to get through the summer months, and it's worked fairly well, but I am seriously counting down to Q4. Adaptability is key, but I do love Q4!

Hey! Love your channels!! Your help has definitely improved my success as a full-time eBay seller! I JUST redid all of my clothing inventory for my eBay store, House-of-Thrift, and found almost 250 items delisted! (I have 625 current) No Veros... Mostly over a year old (my store is only 15 months old) and I checked the fine print that eBay can remove listings over a year old. Wish they would have some kind of automated response to let us know when it was about to happen, so we could opt to "relist" again, so we know which listings are about to be removed, though... Would definitely be helpful! So we wouldn't have to re photo and fully relist. Thanks for all you do!❤

Those flat things like that fan are so easy to ship safely. You can ship it by sliding it into a folded box. It just takes lots of tape around the outer edges. By folded box, I mean a box that has not been made into a square or rectangle shaped box yet. If you can get ahold of a 16" Pizza box, that might work also as the double sides make them very safe. I don't know what your fan measures, but it might fit diagonally into a large pizza box.

I’ve found missing items listings too.. not big or expensive, just things I know were there but aren’t anymore. And, these things aren’t worth anything these days but were when I first listed 6-8 different Precious Moments. I checked my listings & there are only 2… I know the others didn’t sell. I think it would be best to LOT them all or just donate? I 0:50 always learn something watching your videos so THANK YOU!

Imo i think other competitors are Report Item on their competition sellers...i had a couple of those happened to me with accusations of counterfeit, in which it was BS...i called into Ebay and advised them these different items are NOT counterfeit, after haggling with them for 10 minutes they agreed to allow me to relist the items...i also, advised the representative that its most likely reseller competitors reporting these items across Ebay, she agreed!

It's a lot of work but I move my pictures to my computer. Then when I post the items I move them to the posted folder...after they sell I move them to a sold folder like (September Ebay 2024) (September Posh 2024) (Sept FB 2024) (Sept Macari 2024) This shows me what platform what items generally sell on. I can also ensure I do not repost something from pictures and/or if I find an identical item, I've got info photos in my sold folders. Anyway...I probably don't need to source much this winter as I have about 1000 items ready to post from my computer and over 1000 listed... I have been shocked at the amount of old old old listings selling recently? Shocked but super happy.

I did inventory in July and August of nearly 900 items. In the end I had 3 shopping bags full of items that I KNOW I listed, but can find NO record of them at ebay. I guess I will eventually start to list them again, hope I still have the pictures in my computer. Disappointing that for months I thought they were listed. If ebay does not drop them, where do they go ? These were good items, good prices, not junk. Thanks for all you do for us.

I think what happens perhaps is when eBay changes the categories. If your listing was in the former category, it may not get carried through to the new category.

I know that Ebay drops listings. I did an audit of my shoe inventory (mostly Nike) , front and back closet, and out of 186 shoes, 76 were not listed - almost 40%. Last time I did an audit which was 3 yrs ago, I found 31 shoes that weren't listed. Bonafide Hustler did a video about this same subject.

Ebay does delete listings, and sometimes will just delete the pictures (so they won't display it) and other times changes shipping policies. The latter is obvious when they make up a new shipping policy name that isn't one I would use and does not add the (number) like when a policy is edited and some items have open offers.

Our family has a cane like that, handed down thru the generations. It has an ivory top on it that has scrimshaw engraving with a date and our ancestor's initials. I can't remember the exact date but I think it's from the 1780s (or was it the 1760s? 🤷), so very old. I guess value is what someone is willing to pay for it, but ours is priceless to us because of its history. I just sold a leather cap on Mercari that when I went to eBay to end the listing, I could not find it. I do not remember delisting it so I'm not real sure what happened. I never got a notification that eBay removed it, so who knows.

ive noticed, if you delete a listing that has a "sold" quantity. If you delete and relist, it will be missing from the ended section, so when you go to relist them, your missing the ones that had a sold quantity..

I am convinced that eBay is delisting many of my listings, and some are not a year old. I have always implemented a system where I wait for the box to pop up saying my item is now live and also I write down each item in a notebook and check each one off after I see that box that says my listing is live. Still, I have many delisted items.

Every company does an inventory once to twice a year. So should resellers on eBay and other platforms. A match up to your listings. It is a tedious thing to do BUT you find any errors. It took me 4 days.

Ive definitely experienced what i can only assume is listings disappearing. Items i know where listed not active, not ended and not sold. It doesnt happen often, but ive seen it and heard it happening from others. Its never newly listed items, its always older items. I suspect that it might be from the 30 day automatic renewal and the system dropping them. When I bulk edit, sometimes it has an error with one listing, or it will import one less than the amount selected. Whatever the system that auto renews the 30 day period, could easily do the same thing. Its annoying, but part of it at this point. The "EASY" solution is to do an inventory everyday. I'll do a shelf or a bin a day. If its dropped somehow, just put it back with the items to be listed. Simple system if your store doesn't have 10s of thousands of listings. My store has 4k and it takes me just a few minutes per day.

I find items that had a custom sku, not have one anymore. Not sure if the labels dissappear when I delist and sell similar, but usually everything carries over. Then it's a hassle figuring out where I placed the items.

Kevin, I have an issue/question that I don't think you've discussed. I know you usually don't allow for offers, and I list all my items with offers available, but I never put in a minimum offer. I have been ending and re-listing a lot of my older items, and in doing so, I've noticed that eBay has put in a MINIMUM OFFER AMOUNT on all of them. They are all 1/2 of the price I listed them. I never put those amounts in my listings, and it's very frustrating that eBay automates my listings this way. Now I have to go in and check ALL my listings to change the minimum offers, which again, I never put in an amount. Has anyone ever brought this issue up to you? I've forgotten to relist an item several times after a buyer has cancelled an order or failed to pay for an order. That's the only time that I've found an item in my inventory that wasn't listed still.

I have had it happen way too often, and it's happened for the 20 years I have been selling. I went through one tote of 50 items, and half of them were no longer listed. I had one tote where I had listed most of it at once, and the listings were all gone at around the same time. I continually find unlisted things in my totes. I have 8500 listings, so I really don't have time to go through each item, but it is frustrating to do the work and lose the listings. It just seems random. I have contacted ebay several times over the years and they never had an answer. Some were newer listings too, not stuff that had been hanging around. Let's see if this stays posted. My comment a couple days ago disappeared. (unpopular opinion maybe?)

Ebay has been doing this for a few years that I have noticed and anytime I call them they ask for a item # to see what I'm talking about and I keep telling them there is no item #, you took the lisitng down for no reason! I had an unusual problem. My listing got 'lost'. I had a pair of shoes listed and since it was the only pair of shoes i had listed i noticed when it wasnt there. I didn't feel like dealing with it right away and i would come back to it ( yea, right!) Anyway it was gone for at leadt 3 weeks when suddenly it just popped up again like nothing happened. I did search a couple of times to see if i maybe didnt actually do it, but i knew i had and I could not find it at all. Anyway i have no explanation at all for this craziness. 😅

Always assume user error before blaming the platform. I've worked in systems and whenever someone insisted that the system failed, I'd pull an audit report to show them the error and who made it. ... lol, every once in a while, I'd find out that I was the culprit. That's one way to stay humble.😅

The usual explanation of things like this is mistakes. It could be your mistake, it could be eBay's mistake. If you can delete something by mistake, so can eBay - and they do delete millions items for good cause. If they have a 1% error rate, then thousands of things will be deleted by mistake.

My Ebay sales and traffic have been miserable for the past couple weeks, and I just went 24 hours without a sale over a Friday night with 1,600+ listings. The type of stuff I've got for sale is a little different than yours, albeit there is some crossover, but there's definitely a cooling in the market at the moment. Yet I hear you say you've got 20+ sales. I listed a handful of items in the past couple days and I'm literally not even showing that there have been any views. I've researched my stuff so I that at some point there should be interest, but this is abysmal.

Remember, Kevin ships only 3 days a week, so the 20+ sales aren't for just one day. Monday shipment could be for part of Friday, all of Sat and Sun and part of Monday sales. So don't get discouraged comparing your numbers to his. Wish he would tell his audience how many days the sales are for.

Apparantly they fewl rates were improperly low on RURAL LOCATIONS and need adjustments. Thats #1 and #2 Is maybe you can get ADHDave to check his inventory for unlisted. Piece count is usually approximate anyway, only way to truly tell is to put it together
