You can name call the journalist for interviewing style all you want but the questions asked were fair and relevant. Hamid Ansari is allowed to feel any way he pleases but when he makes statements like “Muslims feel unsafe”, asking to elaborate on that is a fair question. Actually it is another opportunity for Hamid Ansari to reach out to neutral people on what/how things are going wrong from his vantage point. Without that elaboration, it’s just Hit and Run Campaign..

Regarding 2 and 5, if we were a real secular country like most of Europe or US and our law enforcement was as good, these laws have no place in such a country. CAA law was excluding Muslims (in that law). We did not want thousands or lakhs of people who created Pakistan to come back and claim to be oppressed and seek Indian citizenship. Whatever the legality of the law, morally it is sound. Regarding 2, people who are living in fear are brazenly shooting, cheating and threatening girls for not converting to Islam.. again, legally questionable (for SC to decide) but morally, I am ok with it. Regarding lynching, more Hindu Dalits have been lynched by Muslims than Muslims by Hindus. Anand Ranganathan (JNU professor) has tweeted the names.. you can get it from his timeline. When Muslims say we are in fear, my sense is that they mean we lost the Veto over the government. Earlier they could make the governments bend to their wishes and that is not working with BJP. That I concede. If you can cite your sources for 1, 3, 4, happy to discuss this further.

It is same , but sometimes minorities are not given equal rights or not given equal status , bcz the dominant people think they have all the power. So to prevent that minorities should be taken care. For example, if you have a child that cannot walk and another who can walk, and if you little extra care of the child that cannot walk, does that mean you dont love your healthy child ?
