Thank you for this video. I am a speech pathologist due to start working with a patient who has lost her speech and most of her sight and hearing due to illness. I'm looking for a way she can continue to communicate as she loses her remaining sight and hearing. Would you say that Braille is the way to go? Thank you, JP

Great. I've gone 100% deaf but have 1 cochlear. My eyes and vestibular are inflamed and may lose vision as is often the case with Cogans in the future. I'm trying to figure out what I will be able to do in the future. Thank you.

Page 178 The system was too complicated for the army and in 1821, realizing that it might be useful to the blind, Barbier visited Louis Braille's school.
