Old White Man Says is a dig at a competing show: $#*! My Dad Says starring William Shatner. The show was based on a Twitter feed that became a book and was given the slot following Big Bang Theory, competing against Community on Thursday nights. It was cancelled after 1 season.

There actually was an "old white man says" show out at thebtime of this episode called "S#*! My Dad Says" which was an adaptation of a twitter account of the same name starring William Shatner. Lasted 1 season.

I just realized this is the episode of community that the clip of Donald glover is from in Spiderverse 1 on uncle Arron’s tv I always thought it was another show for some reason 😂

Donald glover in that costume, plus his twitter campaign to be spiderman is what inspired the writer to create Miles Morales. Then Donald Glover got a role as Uncle Aaron, in the first Tom Holland spiderman movie. That shot in Spiderverse is referencing the fact that they're two versions of uncle Aaron.

@@YourBlackLocal I knew about the Donald should be Spider-Man campaign and the irl history of Miles creation, but for some reason I was under the impression that clip was from some other show, lol community had one of the biggest impacts in the media industry and it stems from Donald being a big nerd/giant fan like the rest of us❤️ I want a “what if?” Episode on real life “what if community was never made?” And see the impact that would have on pop culture🤣

All the seasons are good compared to other TV show's quality, but "fans" really hate on Season 4 because Dan Harmon was gone. It's still a good season of TV it's just not AS good as the earlier seasons. Still has a bunch of great moments in it.
