Awesome that's the way I run my tanks only I don't dirt I just use my creek sand unwashed which is basically dirt in itself. Put a filter in one the other day and didn't like it so I took it back out

my rotala leaves getting transparent spots , it was grow fine for several weeks and then i add liquid fertilizer few days later i noticed all of my rotala rotundifolia getting translucent or transparents spots , is it co2 issue? deficiency? or toxicity? have you experience this issue with your rotala? my tank is low tech like yours

Actually, it’s not a very difficult plant. Under strong light, it quickly takes on a red color. If you notice, the parts closer to the light are redder.
