I launched the same one. Also earth, also quartz. Only quartz is larger than 0.8-2mm. And there is more land. And so it looks very similar, even the stone is a red highly porous structure.

Love that you allowed the cycle of life and death to continue uninterrupted, and that your beautiful isopods got a tasty treat, despite the sadness and disappointment that comes with our deceased aquatic buddies. Thanks for creating and sharing, I'm curious what you'll do with B+C's original set up.

I own an empty aquarium. Its dimensions are 50*50*50 cm. My friend, who follows you on your page, told me... First... about the clay substrate, how high should it be... and then the second layer of sand, how high should it be? ..and how many plants should we grow...and finally, how many watts should the lighting be and how many hours should it be on...and I am sorry for the long question.. I am following you from Palestine.

Just setup a tank in simular fashion. Have you ever tried using Pool filter sand? You almost don't have to clean it ,but it's a lot lighter so just depends on the look you are going for. Great idea using wire to place the large Terrarium plants to the back of the tank. I need to try that out.

I love the set up sir! I'm definitely doing a large aquarium like this after college. Though I would think some angel fish would be nice as center-piece fish. Btw mine is a planted 15 gallon for now. It has a betta and some guppies + shrimps and snails. It has been set up for more than a year now and basically on autopilot. I only do a waterchange every 3 months or so if the water is starting to get really yellow because of tanins or I'm in the mood or a guest is coming. Its small HOB filter has no media in it anymore and only being used for water movement. Fish are happy and breeding and the plants are thriving, only has some algae on the rocks and wood which I dont mind and the shrimp for sure love it, and that's it. Aquariums like these shows that our hobby doesn't need to be complicated. Keep doin what you do sir. Cheers.

@FranklinP-ss9ry8 күн бұрын
@@peaceofnaturee I stand corrected, this video is valid. I went 3 quarters way through the video when I formed my initial opinion. The late part of the video shows the reality of algae. My initial opinion was formed because of you lighting. Strong lighting always causes algae, and algae is just part of a bio-system such as this. I have one myself a 20 gallon. That maintenance maybe 1 or twice a year. I had algae issues until I tweak my lighting. Initially your video "based on title" was some of those BS videos out there. BUT I am corrected SIR. Your video has merit and is grounded in reality.
