This is typical of Liberians.. We are very stubborn and difficult to deal with. If you don't force them out, they will be there for the next 30 years. There is so much land in Liberia. Most people have left the towns and moved to Monrovia. Why are you still in Ghana? I am both Ghanaian and Liberian and I have travelled between the two countries countless times. No Liberian in Ghana should have a refugee status after three different governments have come and gone. It's time to go home and contribute to the rebuilding of your nation. You can not ride the willing horse to death! Ghana has done very well for Liberian refugees and now the Liberian government must take responsibility of it's citizens.

As a refugee you are entitled to certain funds from the UN for daily upkeep, you don't pay electricity bill, water bill, house rent, tax and other bills. The Liberians are refusing to leave because they know if they integrate into the Ghanaian society all those rights would be lost. And also if they move to Liberia they would as much do the same. This kind of act is unacceptable, and it’s against the the human law right. It breaks my heart when I saw another video kids coming from school, with no homes to go to. This’s really sad the Ghanaian government and Liberian, UNHCR and the Red-Cross need to step in immediately. The international communities need to step in and stop these atrocities that’s going on these vulnerable people. I lived on that camp for 5 years, from 94-98 we had to go through this situation from time to time. I remembered one morning in 1996 we were at sleep at around 3AM in the morning, military men came in and was walking over our beds and said they were looking for arms and ammunition. They were told that some people has arms. After 7 hours of searching there were no arms and ammunition found. Lots of these crimes they talked about doesn’t happen. Every society deals with crimes, but whatever they’re saying it’s not like crimes are happening on a daily basis. I have family and friends that live there, they’re decent people. Carrying on such a abruptly demolition is wrong and unacceptable. Something must be done now to help these people from harm . If they have even given these people at least 3 months, it was going to be much better. Just breaking down people homes without proper notice is wrong. They should find places for these people now. I know God will continue to take care of our people during this difficult & tragic times.

Respectfully, as a host of this program, sometimes try to apply common sense on some of these stories. The ministry of interior failure to address several letters was the beginning of this problem.

Ghana is the country that has deported Liberian countless times. So this inhumane treatment is not strange. At least this people could have been informed and given time to find some place to go.

Are they refugees if the UN ended their refugee status in 2006, seventeen years ago. Aside from the sentimental aspect of the situation, the chiefs , in all fairness do not owe them anything. After 30 plus years, these people owe it to themselves to take responsibility for their lives. Once the refugee status ended, they became squatters. As squatters, they are subject to evacuation without warning. Squatters have no rights.

Why waste your future in an unhealthy environment. The camp is a temporary residence. We all lived there temporarily. You have no future to go to college, work in the government, or in cooperate institutions. You only live on handouts from families and friends overseas or minimal income from petty business. When a visitor over stayed a visit, the visitor becomes an enemy. Life is all about risk. Go back home and start all over. If you are no longer welcome there, go to where you will be welcomed. Thank God for your host country and move on. Are you proud to be called a refugee for the rest of your life? Too much complacency leads to deep poverty!

Nothing to do with the presidency of Ghana. Note that refugee camps are also temporary so enough is enough. Go back to your beautiful country. Ghana didn’t tir her back to Liberian refugees when the need arises so why show ungratefulness to Ghana by blaming the Ghana. This is ungratefulness. Through this same act of kindness, Davies who was born in the refugee camp of Ghana is now residing in Canada as a Canadian with the entire family, plays for one of the best teams in Europe, Bayern Munich. This what kindness on behalf of the state of Ghana has done to change the lives of some Liberians. So all those who are showing ungratefulness on this platform should think twice and thank Hod for their lives and move on

Ghanaians and the government of Ghana has doen a lot for the Liberians their stay at the camp was temporarily not permanent. Moest of them have work and even doing business plus the 800Gh they are still receiving so why not go and rent house stay as the Ghanaians peoples are doing even though the has to struggle to fend for themselves without support of their own Ghanaian government. Even here in Europe refugees do not stay permanent in refugees camps at a time they have to make room for others of or for a future development of the Ghanaian community and also for the safty of the community areas. They must leave and no more comments.
