But not always. Sometimes cops have bad days too. Sometimes they don't feel like being lenient. Maybe the last person who gave that excuse lied? Who knows? But a law abiding citizen pulls over for an officer conducting a traffic stop. They provide id and such....they cooperate fully and accept the ticket. Even if they are having a bad day. To do otherwise, especially if you truly know better is a crime. So many others have gone to jail or worse for less than failure to stop. Just saying.....

Im a retired police officer and a Republican . There is NO WAY the community’s trust can be restored in this DA. The Republicans defending her should be ashamed. She deserves due process, but she should be facing FELONY fleeing / eluding / failure to stop and FELONY Abuse of Power. The AG of the State needs to arrest her on the felonies. The state board investigating state prosecutors need to do their job and suspend her law license pending criminal investigation.

I think she needs harsh punishment, but to ruin her life completely isn’t what any of us would want for ourselves. We’ve all behaved badly at some point or another, and it wasn’t recorded, and we weren’t a DA or in a high visibility profession. She absolutely deserves repercussions, but blowing her whole life up over being rude and entitled isn’t the answer. How many rude and entitled 20 some things do we see? KZbin is full of them that get arrested, but their charges are usually pledged down and they get some community service and probation. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, the punishment needs to fit the crime, and ruining her entire life is not just punishment for how badly she behaved.

Yeah I agree with you. The apology is because she realizes that the cat is outta the bag. That statement she made is truly telling and scary because it means she can do anything she wants and she gets to decide if she is guilty or not!!! Oh and by the way, a very dishonest person. I wonder how many innocent people are in jail because of her lies. If that had took place here, she would've been dragged outta that office by the people in the community.
