Trying to glue in taillights. Pieces fit poorly. Not sure what glue to use? Can you offer a suggestion?

Like many have said I would heat it and mold it into shape and use canopy glue. Build looks great on top of that, have a good one Mike!

She close to the finish line now. Will post one more update before I marry the chassis, interior, and body together. Thanks for watching Kreg

5 minute epoxy is my go to. I’d probably try and heat that tail light with a hairdryer and shape it a little better.

I'm weary of the clear resin and the heat technique. If it were plastic I would consider it. I've used epoxy in the past but never on glass. Does it fog? Thanks for the advice Brian

@@michaelhintzmikesminiature1812 no epoxy doesn’t fog at all

The piece is def too brittle to heat or bend IMO. If you are going to clear over, try clearing over your glass sample, see if you like it. I know not much help. I use a jell based CA. Good luck Mike.

I have used a couple of drops of Future to hold clear pieces on. I would allow a week at least to let it cure. Best of luck.

I've never used Mod Podge either. I'm gonna use X22 on the lower half and try the Bob Smith on the upper part. Just afraid of fogging. 🤞 Hope it goes well. Thanks for watching

I think I would try softening the part in hot water and tag it in place with tape and hope to get it to conform better, then think about adhesive. I watched a4 using Bob Smith good. I haven't tried it myself though. Another thought was a strip of thin, double sided tape

I've used Bob Smith with great results in the past. Never on glass. Haven't thought of the 2 sided tape🤔 Thanks for the suggestion and for watching Pete

Only bob smiths super gold plus doesn't fog. All the others from the bob smith line do in my experience . Mod podge might hold but will take a long time to dry. I doubt you want to sit and hold it in place for hours. Option 3 is Bondic, I wouldn't use the cheapo version and use a new tube as it can sometimes yellow in the tube over time. Myself I'd use a tiny bit of super gold + applied with a tooth pick or mechanical pencil. I would personally be very weary of using heat, because Murphy really likes me.

I'm weary about heat on clear resin. The last 2 Bondic refills I bought were yellow. I'll most likely go with the Bob Smith option. I've been side tracked today with a school project with my son due Monday 🙂↕️. Won't try till early in the week. I'll send pics

@@michaelhintzmikesminiature1812 Awesome looking forward to it. Best of luck and hope it goes well. Yeah, that's one of the reasons I've moved away from the bondic. I still has some scratch building uses, but I've had issues with yellowing in the tube as well.

I've used evostick Wood glue in Situations like this and has worked out pretty well as you have said glue it in sections let each part go of it looks pretty brittle to try and heat might just make it worse hope that helps 👍

I haven't tried evolution before. Will have to look for it at hardware store. I was afraid to heat it being clear resin. I ended up using Bob Smith CA glue. Pretty happy with the results. Thanks for the advice Seamus

Looks like you have got some options in the previous comments, I would probably try to reshape it to get a better fit before gluing.

That sucks ! And there aren't any good options....I'd try boiling water for a few seconds then try to get it in where it goes and hold it til it cools. Not to be an ass but , better you than me. Good luck with whateva you decide to do , Mike. Have a great weekend my friend.
