Carol, I love how the shelter and vegetable garden look now! Your little plants really bring it to life! We’ve been having some severe spring storms and even tornadoes around the Midwest USA, which makes me wish for a shelter like that. For your cover, I like the hanging tag so that you could look at both sides. In the area underneath, perhaps stamp “the adventure of a lifetime”, which I remember you said in a previous video while looking at photos of the children being evacuated to safer places. Just an idea. Cheers from Lynn in Hallsville, Missouri USA

Thank you Lynn, hopefully emphasises the point, growing what you can where you can was a necessity. I’m sorry you’re having storms I hope you are safe even without a bunker. Hanging the tag is what I’d really like to do. I just don’t know if it’s very practical on the front. Thank you for the idea. I think it definitely was the adventure of a lifetime. Hope you’re well. Hugs.🤗💖

Carol: although this is a most unusual theme for a journal, you are doing justice to it. I think the shelter and veggie garden is perfect for the journal. Also, I really enjoy the history that you’re reminding us of. Thank you, Carol from California

Love the andersen. The title of this vid applies today as it did then considering the forced decline in farming. Your grandfather sounds like an everyday hero :)

I really enjoy hearing your progress in This World War II Journal. With what is happening in our world today I didn't know if I would be able to Bear watching it. But you are doing a wonderful job and I really do like it. Blessings and love from New Mexico

Put down as a side tuck. Maybe some brads on the corners of the tag. Maybe put a tag they put on the children's coats to transport them out of London to safety. I don't know where you could find one, but I am confident you can make something.

Hi Darlene thank you for the great suggestions 😁 yes brads would look cool on the tag and I have an idea how I can make a transport tag quite easily oooh I’m going to do that now lol x

Love your page with the veggies. The very large beans could maybe be cucumbers or courgettes?😄 I remember my mum saying whatever you grew, if there was a glut, you pickled it etc. Maybe that's where pickled eggs, onions, beetroot etc came from? Brilliant topic 💕 just for info, better to be made, but saw a home front pack on Amazon with ration card etc, reproduction not vintage, but thought of you 😊

Hi Lucy Thank you it was fun doing a bit of mixed media. Yes I remember my grandma pickling and onions hanging in the shed lol. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the topic 😁 Thanks for thinking of me I’m planning on trying to make my own ephemera, I think it would be pretty interesting to do ❤️
