CSCMC is excited to bring back the Community Unity series and now podcast at the 10th Street Studio, in partnership with the City of Stuart, located at the 10th Street Community Center.
Manager of Community Engagement, Cheree Ramirez, had the opportunity to sit down with Fatherhood Educator, Drew Gray of the David Cardno Fatherhood Initiative, formerly known as the David Cardno Father/Child Resource Center.
Drew opened up and shared his WHY and the importance of educating father's. He talks about the dire statistics of growing up in fatherless homes and the impact this program is making in our own backyard. Drew also spoke about his time in the Stuart/Martin County Chamber LEADERship program, more information for this program can be found at: www.stuartmartinchamber.org/the-chamber/leadership/
The David Cardno Fatherhood Initiative was created in 2000 by the Martin County Healthy Start Coalition to address the issue of father absence within the county.
The Center provides valuable support to encourage men to become more involved and committed fathers by offering parenting classes to all fathers, legal assistance for those fathers who are separated from their children, and parenting workshops to other agencies.
Martin County Healthy Start Coalition oversees the David Cardno Fatherhood Initiative. To learn more about this program funded with your taxpayer dollars by visiting: www.mchealthystart.org/programs/the-david-cardno-fatherhood-initiative/
