I've flown to work a few times on my paramotor but this time I figured I'd take you all along for the ride
.
The ruins that I fly over on the way home are all that remains of the old Orem Geneva steel plant that was built during WWII.

ryan L in the future maybe (electric motors are far more powerful than gasoline in size and weight, by ridiculous margins). So maybe in 20 years the batteries will catch up to what we want today. I don’t think it will be soon, much like electric cars suck except in niche cases (like drag racing). But for niche case like storing in your office then maybe electric does have a market in paramotors since they already exist, I’m guessing this is more the intended market. I’m still shocked at their cost though, from what I can tell it’s only a larger hobby grade RC airplane motor and propeller with a lithium battery, certainly some serious price gouging much like gasoline units. Someday... Unless we invent nuclear batteries for the electric motors, but I guess that’s still kind of just another battery (non-rechargeable).

Is that a reserve chute you have on the front? Just curious; how important is that? Do they actually come into play, I mean, the wing is already extended when you lift-off. What kind of risks are there that would cause you to need to pop a reserve?

Its insurance for if the wing I am already under for whatever reason collapses and is un recoverable, rouge invisible dirt devil or self induce collapse etc. Also makes for a good spot to mount my phone to use as a dashboard of sorts.

Most employers will not allow petrol machines in the office for obvious reasons (and you get a crap load of static off office carpets !!!). I would suggest that you ask your employer if they have a bike shed for your use. Alternatively leave your car parked at work and lock it to your car during the day.
