@@tommynikon2283 🔴 What Is Islam? 🔴 Islam is not just another religion. 🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. 🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. 🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. 🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. 🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: 📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4) 📚 🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. 🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him.

Y'all need to chill out and quit being the youtube safety hall monitors. You have no idea what he did beforehand to prepare for this video. There's probably quite a bit of behind the camera preparation that he put into it, and we don't see. Not to mention he's a highly experienced operator of planes, paramotors, and paragliders. Then there's the fact that he only made it 3 feet off the ground... Look at all the facts before you decide to post your "Im an aviation safety expert" drama.

BIG SAFETY QUESTION!!! Are the caribeaners that are connecting the paraglider to the chair ALSO connected to your harness? THEY SHOULD BE! If your chair suffers a catostrophic failure, like if a weld breaks you want that paraglider to be hooked to your harness. Not the chair. Or at least to both. Of course it only matters if you get the thing off the ground. LOL

I was having a beer at a tiki bar in Florida when a guy sat beside me. He had a massive scar across his biceps. "Looks like a nasty injury", I mention. He responds "that's nothing...it goes right across my chest!!!" He pulls out his phone and shows me a picture of his chest split open from side to side by two parellel gashes. Only one extended thru his arm. He started his paramotor on the ground and the throttle stuck. He still loved the sport and claimed it was really safe. In 9 months he only had two mishaps. The other was a bad landing that ended in a shattered wrist. That one conversation turned me off paramotors for ever.

nice build... you have guts to try it... Next time try a bigger engine.. also.. these only turn about 3500 RPM if you leave the governor in there. So get a prop with the size and pitch to make good thrust at that RPM. Or remove the governor.. That brings other concerns too though. Find one with the exhaust on the other side, or use a spacer on the prop. Or just mount a manifold to those bolts with tubing.. bend it to point downwards and then put a good muffler on the end of it pointing down. If you run an engine with NO exhaust you can burn a valve eventually.

Concept is sound. 5000 RPMs the propeller tips may be going through the speed of sound making more noise than thrust. A semitar propeller may solve the compressability problem, but a re-drive unit and a longer propeller may give you the thrust you need if the engine has the power. What you are needing to to do is recreate a HIRTH engine. Why not. These Harbor Freight engines are cheep and hop up parts are widely available. People run Gyro-copters on Harbor Fright 25HP engines. Look forward to seeing your rig fly. :)

I just did a proper flight with it! 36x12 prop and the cold air. I was getting 4700rpm. I’m a bit confused that the larger prop same pitch gave higher RPMs but it worked! I’ll try and edit the video tomorrow and upload.

@cerescop

You need a short pipe to direct the exhaust. Its mostly to prevent thermal shock to the exhaust valve(s). It will in this case need to be a 90 degree to clear the prop. Get a prop sized and pitched for a vw engine. This is just to control tip speed as you removed the governor from the carb.

Fortunately nothing happened, but basic safety precautions are never overkill, like having a simple net that would prevent your hand from getting destroyed by the prop if anything went just slightly wrong. I'm all for experimenting, I'm sure you'd agree your hand and your arm are worth more than a KZbin video... Plus, this may give the wrong message, right one would be, experimenting is fine, but it should be done safely. That aside, your videos are great!!!

You do need some kind of exhaust outlet pipe even if it does not have a muffler. Otherwise, cold air will get into the combustion chamber and warp the valves. I would estimate that you should have at least a 12 inch exhaust pipe. You can make it with a sharp bend so that it does not hit the prop.

I still haven't flown it yet - that was just practice taxiing runs (trike launch setup). Surprisingly the first time, there was no damage whatsoever. After the 4th time, it broke through the outer skin of the line, but the core was still good. Tough stuff! I barely got out on it at all this summer - not enough hours in the day, and not enough smooth air days in the Northeast. Maybe next year will be my year to fly solo.

if u have flown on the wing b4, the problem is not with the wing. u need a bigger prop and a different motor that can turn the prop at higher rpms. u have insufficient thrust. MAYBE not enough wind either. but id be forever more concerned about getting those lines tangled in that puny little prop. it might also be that the prop lacks the right geometry for thrust.

You did it, but it was not enough power from the engine, although you could show that with that little force you would be able to take off. Congratulations, if you start making another one and with a little more power, you would surely fly well. I would use a slightly more solid frame and a minimum 15 hp motor.

I have heard that Jonas groan when the strings sucked in many times... in the snow, crashing the plane, too funny! Great work, stay strong!
