Well....Maybe because on Virtual XI his vocals where just so out of place.He has gone through evolution of becoming a singer.This is just art compred to the original.So much emotion and pain going through him here.Proving the point that Blaze was just not ready to be the leading man back then.Tried too hard to be Bruce.This is just beautiful.
@Ziggurat14 жыл бұрын
@@italosampaio2956 You are correct. Not because he should be regarded as the best Maiden singer, but because he should be regarded as a great singer. Bayley's voice has aged well too, but when he is standing next to a throat cancer survivor that sings like a god, people are trying to compare bay leaves and oranges. Oh and this music video is a bit cringe, but I can live with that.

Listen to this, all you Blaze-haters, and tell me again that this guy can not sing!!! He may not have fitted Maiden perfectly, but he is such a great vocalist! And this version is so much more haunting and intense than the Maiden original. Mainly thanks to Anne!

Not entirely agree... The X Factor is an amazing album, a masterpiece in its own genre, totally misunderstood and underrated. One of my favorite Maiden’s album, definitely . A sort of non-Maiden album, dark, gloomy and mysterious. Totally unfitted for anyone, but Blaze’s obscure voice register. Virtual XI, on the other hand, is such a bad and lackluster copy of Maiden’s previous works. You know, everything is there... riffs, chords, choruses, etc. However, it lacks epic, spirit and creativity. Especially compared to Bruce’s awesome works at the time (v. gr. The Chemical Wedding).

back at 98, getting electrified by Iron Maiden songs for the very first time was absolutely not the experience which as a 12 years old boy living somewhere in Iran, I was supposed to have. I took 4 cassettes from my cousin who copied my favorites from different albums, then soled my SEGA console to buy myself a 2nd hand WALKMAN. also had bought a book that translated all of the Iron Maiden lyrics, and the history of the band and its members. I somehow came of age through listening and understanding the songs. I grew up with Iron Maiden and somehow Pink Floyd. the virtual XI album was something else for me, millions of times I have listened and enjoyed every single sec, mainly because of this very song, como esta amigo. it always cheered me up when I was down no matter why I was sad, the song has never let me down...does not matter who loves or hates whom or why. just like those summer days of late 90s when we had closed the room's door and turned up the volume listening our favorites repeatedly

I would love to see Bruce and Blaze doing a one night show and alternating songs with each other because seriously my 2 most favorites albums from Iron Maiden are Virtual XI and Fear Of The Dark. @michaelangeloh.53836 жыл бұрын
They don't even have to alternate songs, they can alternate verses, and they should definitely do harmonies with the way they both sound today. - If you notice how Bruce already did different harmonies for say 'The Clansman' when singing "freedom", Bruce could go on top of Blaze. Do this with more parts in different songs and I think it would blend together perfectly.
@michaelangeloh.53836 жыл бұрын
Miguel Sandels - Did he say exactly that? "It would make too many people too happy."? - Maybe then it was sarcasm in reference to (most) Maiden fans not liking it. - I think, actually, that if they'd bring him on with the band, if Bruce would introduce him onto the stage, people would be very welcoming. They can't be so childish to be negative in the moment itself. No matter what, it would be a nostalgic and moving moment. I would love to see it.

I was into Maiden before the Blaze Era, and I love Dickinson, but... When I found out who Maiden named the new vocalist, I went and found those old Wolfsbane albums and gave them a listen. What fucking energy he had on those albums! He was a damn good vocalist in his own right! So I welcomed Blaze and eagerly awaited what would be The X Factor album. Holy fuck was I in for a shock... Sign of the Cross was FUCKING AMAZING!! Immediately you can hear the progression from Wolfsbane to Maiden.. I was an immediate fan and to this day, the Blaze Era is still a treasured time of my life. I still listen to these albums frequently, and I sing along with so many of the songs... I followed Blaze after he parted ways with Maiden, and I still sing songs like Soundtrack of My Life, Born As A Stranger, Stare At The Sun, Robot, Blackmailer, While You Were Gone, Watching the Night Sky, and many more... Blaze, if you ever read this, thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart for the moments of joy you have given me listening to you sing, for "being there" through the troubled times, and just adding positivity to my life when I needed it. I may never meet you, but I love you for all of that, man. And WE, your fans, love you too.

As an argentinian I will always be deeply grateful to Blaze for making such a touching tribute. Many people know of the Malvinas/Falklands conflict but they don't know how gruesome and terrible it was. Just try to picture this, british elite military forces with up to date guns and equipment, against argentinian young kids with barely to no combat training and shitty gear, it was a massacre. But despite all this, there are stories of both sides helping each others wounded at times. This was the perfect example of how war is nothing but a game for politicians and people in power.
