When Iron Maiden played in my town a few years back, I went with a bunch of friends, and one of them had dragged his daughter's violin instructor along. Classically-trained, this guy had never been to a rock gig in his life. He was kinda nervous about it, with the place being packed out by big guys in black t-shirts. About halfway through the third song I saw his face, it looked like he'd found God. He was smiling in absolute awe. A metalhead was born that night.

The fact that a full symphonic orchestra can re-create this song and it sounds this beautiful is clearly a sign that the original song had great musical value. What a great test for rock music. If it passes this test, then it must be good.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. And as someone who has spent weeks worth of hours arranging various non-orchestral songs into an orchestra format, not every song has the potential to be put into this format. The absolute genius that it takes to write these songs is incredible by itself and then to have that be able to be translated into an absolutely massive orchestra is amazing

Symphony #666. Remember Analog Radio...remember being on the road and only classical music on the low-80 band would come in clearly...and then you could bet whether it was Christian broadcasting or secular NPR. The Church commissioned a lot of classical pieces so it was any man's guess whether the DJ was going to be an Alabama Pentecostal (Jesus Radio) or a Brooklyn Jew (Secular NPR).

Ah, the marriage of rock/metal with classical. The most epic, awe-inspiring sound existence. One of the greatest songs of all time, is the GNR rock ballad November Rain. That's what introduced me to this idea when I was a kid. First time I've heard it, I couldn't understand why it wasn't more of a "thing." And the last 30 years, I still wonder why it isn't more of a "thing." This suitably satisfies my craving to hear more of that sort of thing.

30 years ago, my first boyfriend played guitar. He knew that I loved both heavy metal and classical music. When he would call to talk, he would end every conversation by playing classical music on electric guitar. It was amazing and so romantic 💗 I got told by my friends that classical is boring and by the adults in my life that metal was just noise. He used to say that classical music IS metal prior to the electric amp and that fact the two can be interchanged is proof that BOTH are quality forms of artistic expression that require a lot of skill to master.

Very grateful to you all who involved and support in this collaboration which made a bridge from rock music to classical music

The French Horns sounded great in the Run to The Hills part. Ever think of doing that song by itself instead of a medley? In any event I did really enjoy this. Hope to hear more of these.
I love the symphonic Orchestra supported by electric guitars 😍 The amalgamant of sounds is astonishing

Isso que é música....quando o metal se encontra com o clássico vira uma obra maravilhosa, assim como o rio se encontrar com o mar e dá se um fenômeno chamado de pororoca. Parabéns!!!

A karmester profi, az biztos. Imádom a vonósokat, fegyelmezettek, tökéletesek.
