REDBIRDS vs MUSTANGS | Como Blitzball 2023

Sammy Reazer and the Mustangs are one win away from an undefeated regular season. The team standing in their way is Chandler Sartain and the Redbirds. The Redbirds have had their ups and downs this season, but with the depth that they have they have an opportunity to pull off the upset. It won't be easy though, they have to beat a powerhouse team that has lots of talent behind the MVP front-runner Sammy Reazer. Tyler Davis has been a force on the mound and at the plate, considered one of the best in the league even as Reazer's counterpart. The Redbirds pitchers have to be careful when pitching to the Mustangs top 2, as Luke Bradley and Jake Short so far this year have been a solid pitching duo for the Redbirds. With a win, the Redbirds can avoid playing in the wildcard game this year. Big game as we are nearing the 2023 playoffs!

I really like this video because it shows how good of a captain chandler is. His team is nowhere near as talented as the mustangs, but he got exactly what he needed from Jake (pitching), Luke (Pitching), and Aiden (OBP). if he continue to hit, and aiden keeps getting on base, without hose errors, I think the redbirds are better than the mustangs. they have the unique team build of having everyone contribute, and not just having a star or two and having the other 2 players as deadweight

The point of the rule is so the runner can't induce a pickle between third and home. This would be problematic because a player rounding first could round to second and then score if the ball goes out of play.

TEAM REVIEWS Redbirds: Definitely a great way to show that the Mustangs are not invincible. They almost certainly would’ve had the momentum to take the lead if it wasn’t for a weird rule. Yeah the rule needs tweaking. The problem is that since chandler technically committed to home plate, all I had to do at that point after he went back to third is go hit the zone with the ball and he would’ve been out by rule

I think it was fair application of the rule. However I think an easy adjustment to the rule to fix this situation is: If the baserunner goes at least halfway from 3rd to home and a defender makes a play at the plate they cannot go back to third and will result in an automatic out if they do run backwards after the play was attempted at the plate. That way the baserunner has a chance to turn back as long as no play has been made towards the plate yet. With the current rule Chandler wasnt able to turn and go back to third even though Sammy never threw towards home. Just for the future though not mad about what happened in this game because the rules are the rules, just think it could be written and applied better

Why would Jake hang a slider to Sammy?! Redbirds definitely could have won today. If that base running rule was not applicable, Chandler would have gotten another AB and would have done some damage, or gotten walked, either way a run would have scored.

I swear to God I am not one to troll a comments section, but that call was so suspect something had to have been said on my end. If that is a rule, it should be a rule for all bases (1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, etc). That being said, Matt Zuppardi should have been out because he was way more than half way to 2nd when he went back to 1st base in the pickle. But of course, this rule only applies to big plays at home that could have turned the game over. Don't get me wrong the Mustangs do have talent, but for a lack of better words that rule is bullshit and Chandler should have been safe at 3rd, nothing more than a pickle just like Matt had earlier that same game. Either way, Chandler held his own and handled it well for being a team captain, its not worth the argument considering the Mustangs are "undefeated" and they would have fought tooth and nail for that win, even if it was a hacked win like this.

Me as a Rookie manager, I think Chandler lost this game when he allowed Jake to pitch to Samy w/2 MOB on the Bott of 3rd, 1 out with a base open. Dont let their best beat you, get your Ego out of this and youll have a better chance at winning, because at the end of the day, what matters most is WINNING

There were a lot of stupid calls in this game. The play was clearly dead when Sammy tagged Jake out. They didn't show the whole video for a reason. There was clearly lots of arguing and then he tagged him during the dispute. Jake would not have been off the base otherwise. It's a lame way to play. Then the call at the end about going past halfway is so stupid. Plus this channel is stupid for allowing walks of the best player on the teams. Each team only has 1 good hitter for the most part. There should be a rule where you designate one of your hitters as getting 2 bases if they are walked. Then people would have to pitch to the good hitters more often.
