The Phoenix's big issue this year was a lack of a #2 pitcher. The #1 ranked blitzball player and the #1 overall pick next year is a good core to build on. #15 ranked Blake Venneman and #17 ranked Jordan Schroeder are local enough to potentially enter the draft pool. The Phoenix could be a contender next year, especially if they have the cap space to keep the Sappingfield bros.
