THE PHOENIX NEED A WIN OR ELSE THEY ARE ELIMINATED... The regular season finale has big implications. Adam Knudsen and the Phoenix need a win, and the Riptides need to play well enough to avoid the wildcard. With the knee injury to Fireon, The Phoenix have elected to pick up Casey Bennett from free agency. Bennett is an ‪@MLWWiffleBall‬ player so it should be interesting to see how he fits into this crucial Blitzball game!

The Phoenix's big issue this year was a lack of a #2 pitcher. The #1 ranked blitzball player and the #1 overall pick next year is a good core to build on. #15 ranked Blake Venneman and #17 ranked Jordan Schroeder are local enough to potentially enter the draft pool. The Phoenix could be a contender next year, especially if they have the cap space to keep the Sappingfield bros.
