Comp Air 6.2 - 6 place experimental airplane - Quick Flight

Ride along in the Comp Air 6.2, 6 place experimental airplane, while we do a quick flight around our home base in Titusville, Florida. We are full of fuel and there are 2 passengers on board for the quick flight.
The CA6.2 experimental provides a roomy 6-place composite airframe, plus baggage. 300+ horsepower is enough to cruise at 170+ knots. The fixed landing gear gives the aircraft the ability to take your 2000 pound useful load into rugged terrain where you are unable to take a retractable gear aircraft. One of the only homebuilt kit airplanes on the market today with the ability to call itself a true multipurpose utility airplane

A lovely plane for this modern century, but please get rid of the sound track. We pilots love to hear engines and cockpit audio!

The rear door is the entry for the rear cabin passengers. Since the rear seating area can be configured multiple ways, it works best with one door.

Excellent The Cowling change should get the required cooling. How about Cabin heat and air conditioning. Especiallay defrost at minus Forty c or cooling at + 40 c Great looking plane.

We currently have cabin heat in N602SU, and we'll be working on air conditioning soon. Keep in mind that as an experimental, you can equip whatever engine and A/C system you would like to your kit. You don't have to follow what we have done with out demonstrator aircraft, or what any other builder has done before.

As an experimental , is it certified for IFR. And what are the usage limitations. Day/night, IFR, Canada or Mexico??

Visibility does not look great, obvious from craning your neck on base. Side windows are super small.

A nice aircraft but the instrument panel/glareshield are too high restricting the vertical field of vision. It needs to be lowered and then I would consider buying one.

As an experimental, the instrument panel and glare-shield can be outfitted as you wish. We don't believe the current setup restricts the field of vision when you are sitting in the pilots seat, but we invite you to come sit in the plane to take a look for yourself. N602SU is currently in Titusville, FL at KTIX, and will also be at Sun n Fun (KLAL) from April 9 - 14.
