Mark, this is fantastic. I saw your first zenith video and afterwards immediately clicked into your channel to see if there was ever any update and this was very encouraging! I seeded zenith on my yard so I'm excited for the challenges ahead :). Thanks for being the only channel that actually showed timeline videos of your grass instead of always selling something new. Thank you for the simplicity in your videos and best of luck in the Philippines!!!!

Thanks Mark. I'm over by Annapolis and started converting my lawn to zoysia with plugs from Central sod farms. Tall fescue is just a losing game here in the transition zone without an irrigation system - and maybe even with one. I have found the plugs fill in fast if they aren't competing with fescue, so I've been killing the fescue first with Roundup then going back with plugs. I'm doing one area at a time to keep the work and expense manageable. It's August now and the zoysia is green and the remaining fescue areas are brown and full of weeds. I think the zoysia is going to prove much more cost effective over the long run.

Your right up the road from me. I have an irrigation system I used with fescue originally and if I just missed one hot day, the Fescue would die and never come back without reseeding. Now with zoysia it is very forgiving. This week I have missed all the rain the Washington DC area... so it baking the grass. Every day I thought it would rain soon the zoysia was welting and brown …. a good watering and it sprang back

@@MarkBurnettTheIslandGeneration That is very consistent with my experience. I had been intended to use the meyer Zoysia in my front yard as I think it has a slightly better appearance, but this video has scared me off that to sticking with the plugs from Central Sod which I believe are an Empire or Compadre hybrid.

I got Zenith® Zoysia Grass Sod for front from Central Sod. I am not sure what plugs they sell. This year has been the hardest because no rain . but hanging in there

@@MarkBurnettTheIslandGeneration agree. My zoysia had a somewhat tough summer because it was dry, but it is alive. My tall fescue is dead. Like crispy. I decided in going all zoysia starting next year. I'm not seeding tall fescue anywhere this fall.
