Thanks for a great vid! Aira site says you must work a MINIMUM of 40 hours/week & must do at least 8 hours from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening. They don't hire people from a certain states (at this time), including mine - I wonder why? I thought it might be due to worker misclassification laws - as it seems they are classifying workers as 1099 instead of W2, despite they dictate mandatory hours to workers. Nevertheless, this reasoning didn't seem to be the case from the states listed b/c far more states use the ABC test to support their worker misclassification laws.

Some states' & companies' employment laws/policies don't always mesh which is why some residents from certain states don't always qualify for remote work.

Also, maybe because even though they have operating hours and give you a minimum amount for you to work, those hours are still not SET. That’s like many salons have contracts workers or booth renters but that doesn’t mean the salon can’t have set hours for operating. Same goes for remote. Each business is different and the IRS even has a website of court cases where some businesses thought they had contract workers but the workers were actually employees. This caused the company to pay back taxes. Just because a business has policy and procedures and rules doesn’t mean everybody is an employee which is why I think it could be another reason they were not operating in certain states. It may not necessarily be miss classification. That’s just my two cents. It doesn’t mean I’m right.🤷🏽‍♀️
