Companion Satellite & Stream Decks - What you need to know

Intriguing. I've used Companion on a local machine for several years but am looking to expand some functionality at our church and the satellite option looks like it may be the best for us. Thanks for breaking this down for us!

Good day Zach, thank you for sharing... here is a quick question. Based on what you said at 3:09, does that mean that using companion is not possible whilst also using standard stream deck buttons? Thanks in advance.

No you can still use the native stream deck software for some buttons if you want. But in my experience, you’ll have easier success if you quit the stream deck software and only run companion

so zach. you need both satellite app and the companion original app to be installed and working on the sattelite device?.

Technically you only need the satellite app on the satellite devices. I had the normal companion app installed already so I really just used that to pull up the address of the satellite and host GUI. The main thing is that all satellite devices need to be connected to the the WiFi network that companion is running on
