How would you react if the police box on the end of your road turned out to be an inter-dimensional time machine that also happens to be bigger on the inside?
Whatever you do, don't tell the Doctor that you "thought it would be cleaner"

Capaldi did mention in an article I can't find now that when he first stepped onto the set, he did this giddy little giggle that he said was his inner child coming out to play & he immediately wanted to flip all the switches & levers & buttons on the console to see if they actually did something

Who wouldn't be giddy in that situation? ❤❤➕️🔷️ being the Whovian he is, Peter Capaldi has been the only one to bring out his inner fanboy and say this iconic phrase while actually being the Doctor. It doesn't get more epic than this. 😎

That's why I love Rory as a character. You can tell that he was meant to be different from Mickey Smith. Instead of starting as a constantly scared boyfriend who's a bit out of his depth, Rory is introduced as someone who is already somewhat capable of holding his own when traveling with the Doctor. This scene shows that when introduced to the fact that aliens exist, he did research so he would be better prepared when given the opportunity to deal with them again.

I like Clara's "It's smaller on the outside!" reaction. I know Freema said when she first walked onto the TARDIS set, she said it felt like she was really entering the TARDIS, lol! We can't forget the very FIRST reaction.... Ian and Barbara pushing their way into the TARDIS then stopping in their tracks, stunned. Not quite a "first reaction", but when the Fourth Doctor and Leela are in the auxiliary control room, he tries to explain "relative dimensions in space" to her, using two different sized black boxes. Her "That's silly!" reaction is great!

@ValueNetwork 13 күн бұрын
A rare inclusion of Modern day Clara in a compilation video like this, and I’m glad that she was featured because her introduction to the Tardis is completely different to everyone else’s. Instead of a “big reveal” she got a character focused scene with her talking about her reasons to travel. We obviously got the big reveal in the previous episode when Victorian Clara saw the new Tardis: so we don’t loose anything by changing the formula, and in fact it kinda justifies modern day Clara more (at least in my eyes) because she gets to stand apart from her predecessor as a more controlled and mature character who is Able to take the Time Machine in her stride.

I honestly love Yaz, Ryan and Graham's reaction, because they are genuinely just gobsmacked and awe-struck. It was a change in the tone of the scenes and show, and one that after an adjustment period I kind of came to adore? Don't get me wrong, I love the new seasons, they're brilliant... but I'm going to miss that era of Doctor Who (especially 2021/2022). "Everything ends and it's always sad, but everything begins again, too. And that's always happy..." Also Ryan immedietly going and trying to play with the console is the most I've related to a character's single action in the whole show. I would 100% instantly just want to run around flicking switches and stuff.

17:52 fun fact about Jodie’s reaction to the biscuit: that was legit. This whole shot of her messing with the controls was the first time she was allowed to touch. During a conversation weeks earlier with production staff members, one had asked her what her favourite biscuit was. In reality they were on a mission from the set designer who put that lever in as a surprise. So yeah, she genuinely had no idea that lever would give her a custard cream.

12th takes it hands down lmao! Great on so many levels becasue he's playing dumb when finding out River's been stealing his tardis and the tardis never told him, great on watching his wife make out with another man right in front of him and STILL playing dumb, and great that he feels all the better when he finally gets his moment lmao

I wish they had some of the old original companions reactions. My favorite was when 4th and Sara Jane talked Harry Sullivan into going into the box an all you hear is "Oh My God" as the two giggle like school girls
