US producers are not directly involved in production like the BBC producers, but the showrunners are. unless i’m mistaken, the producers simply paid for the production but with it mot getting ratings the US producer(s) pulled out leaving the BBC to foot the bill entirely with another US network airing it. no money from the US meant no money for the show meant mo show

Sergeant Benton's, "Well, that's obvious, isn't it?" and Bill's "Is this a knock-through?" because the Doctor had the TARDIS parked right up against a wall and it's actually some considerable time and a trip later that she realises it is bigger on the inside (prompting a relieved handshake from the Doctor and Nardole).

That's true, but I think they played around with the phrase a bit in a few episodes... I seem to remember this from 'Resolution' "The internal dimensions are much larger than the external dimensions.
