The Ever Forward has been stuck in the Chesapeake Bay for almost three weeks, and after two failed attempts to float the container ship, the U.S. Coast Guard announced a new plan. News4’s Mark Segraves reports the shipping company is invoking a maritime law to pay to float the ship.

These shipping companies made 4 billion dollars in profit in just the first quarter of 2021 alone. Ocean rates quadrupled in less than 15 months. Yeah, that could be so easily either "written off" on an Insurance Company which in turn will just raise their insurance premiums for Consumers or by making their Customers pay. Where's the responsibility? Believe me, they've figured out how to abuse the Systems of the World and to have the People pay, Never themselves. One should have a Full Traceable Audit of Disaster Relief Tax Funds also in a Natural Disaster as that's been a huge Scam for decades as well. Think California.

Why should cargo owners pay for it. They didn't run the ship aground. So if the pizza delivery driver get into an accident on the way to your house, does that mean that the person getting the delivery has to pay for the tow truck and emergency crews? I'd argue that GA shouldn't cover the incompetence of those navigating the ship. This wasn't an accident or 'act of God' but incorrect operation of the vessel. If they let this slide then any company can use the cheapest and worst staff/incompetent captains and then just get the customers top pay for the clean-up.
