Yes I do recall the GX2 fiasco... Check out Xtreme Systems. Like I said, the results are very early but from what I've seen the X2 will end up defeating the seperated cards. The newest driver is due out to day or tommorrow...

I am always at xtemesystems, thats the forum I am at the most! Anyway, I just dont think duel GPU on 1 PCB is the future. I mean, if ATi can really get both R680s to work together in every game, then I might buy one. Who knows, I need to see what they're like when they've been out for a month or two.

The 3870x2 will not fit in my case as it is to long. It will perform the same as 2 3870s in CF as the 3870X2 is just to 3870 cores on 1 PCB.

You're wrong matey. With the latest results even with early drivers it is out performing two seperate 3870's...Not by much but it is beating them...When newer drivers are released I think you'll be little sad. And Powercolor have released a shorter version I think...

Nor do I think dual GPU's is the future. I can't stand them really. These companies should be doing their utmost to excel in single GPU solutions. The TRUE next gen cards will be out sooner or later and thats when we'll see people playing Crysis at 1920 with plenty of AA on...Driver issues are always less frequent with single GPU cards which is why we need another 8800ultra typre card from both companies. Flagship models with quality drivers with ATi truly competing...

only 61fps max oh dude where u go wrong i got 74fps max whit one 3870?? u got two andi score better where didt u go wrong maby u mobo is only 8x8pci-e in crosfire.

i get a little over 16k on 3dmark06 with the 3870x2 and it fits in the antec 900 watch my vid.....its sloppy so dont laff...lol
