Good video many thanks. I've got my copy and not played yet but will soon. You enjoying the game so far?

Yes, I've only played twice so far and both times solo. So I've not gotten the full experience of the game yet. But I think it captures the essence of the video game pretty well. It's fun. I look forward to playing with a real opponent sometime.

I have a question. What is the blue dice with the eye on (found in the major unit's card i think)?
@lancesboardgamestuff6 ай бұрын
Most units have a default sight range of 2. That blue dice with the eye is showing he has an upgrade available to increase his sight range by 1.

@@lancesboardgamestuff Also can two or more units be at the same hec at the same time?
@lancesboardgamestuff6 ай бұрын
@@nicolasgeorgiou9172 Using the rules I had at the time of making this video, the answer is no. You can move through but can't end your movement in the same hex as another unit. With the latest version of the rules, you can "Assault" on enemy unit by moving into the same hex as that unit.
@nicolasgeorgiou91726 ай бұрын
@@lancesboardgamestuff So when using assault you pretty much move to the hex where the enemy was once you destroy the unit but without using cp?
@lancesboardgamestuff6 ай бұрын
@@nicolasgeorgiou9172 No, you move into the same hex as the enemy unit using your normal movement. If you end your movement in that hex than you are assaulting it. The units involved in an assault do not benefit from cover. Here is a link to what I believe is the newest rules if you would like further details: drive.google.com/file/d/1E24X-R2ZA-pXfifUC3CDZh19A-22DIwR/view

I like the game components, but I am a little concerned about the Auto Hits without rolling dice. How does it flow?
@lancesboardgamestuff3 жыл бұрын
Well you only get auto hits if you are not in some kind of cover, and take damage from a type of fire you are not resistant to. I've only played twice and actually found it harder to hit units than I would have thought. I've only played solo as two players but the game seemed to flow well. I'll know better once I've played against someone.
@Pfuffn3 жыл бұрын
@@lancesboardgamestuff That sounds good, thanks!
@_WEAPON_3 жыл бұрын
@@Pfuffn For me,. the auto-hits are rewarding good maneuvering or catching a player out of position. I think it was a brilliant design choice, as otherwise the game would be far too random. The advanced rules bringing in the potential misses on mortar fire feels properly thematic as well.
@Pfuffn3 жыл бұрын
@@_WEAPON_ It seems reasonable now, too. In Range and plain sight with no cover - > certain hit. Cover increases chances.

What rules would you recommend playing with; basic, advanced or a hybrid?
@lancesboardgamestuff2 жыл бұрын
Well for your first play I would recommend basic. After that you may want to try the advanced, and then it would just be a matter of personal preference.
@SeanUCF2 жыл бұрын
@@lancesboardgamestuff Are there any that you would consider mandatory that you wouldn't want to play without?
@lancesboardgamestuff2 жыл бұрын
@@SeanUCF My preference would be to use all the regular advanced rules. The last time I played I did not use the timers, or use the buildings to allow two units in a building hex.
