Comparing lens for micro fourthird camera, Olympus M.Zuiko 17mm f/1.8 versus Panasonic Lumix Leica Summilux 15mm f/1.7 on Olympus PEN EPL9 body.

Definitely Leica is sharper than Olympus. And the color rendering on Leica is spot on, punchy and more contrasty. The Olympus is not bad, just OK. Sufficient for daily task photography. Lack of that wow factor that Leica has. I think if you have the money, go for Leica. If you tight on budget, then go for Olympus. In my opinion, there is no need to have both. Cheers mate.

I prefer 15/1.7, coz its wider and the color tone is more pleasing (for me).
