Hey Josh, this is one of the Keystone fifth wheels my wife and I like, the other is the Cougar 355FBS. Changes or options I’d like to see. One, the usb plugs in the theater seats changed like you said. Two, move the faucets in the bathroom to the back of the sink, the side mounted looks off. Three, an option to make the side tables by the couch smaller so a larger couch could be put in, also, being able to upgrade the theater seats to full electric like in the Montana’s. Last, have the stove a standard Insignia stove, or an option to upgrade, and remove the window behind the stove and put in a tiled backsplash. I like the unit like it is, but having the option to change the things I’ve said would make it better.

Josh, we bought a 2021 316 RLS last year based on a lot of research about weights, etc. for our tow vehicle. A large factor in our decision was your video last year. We found one in our area, checked it out and bought it. We've put almost 10K miles on it and absolutely love it. My comment is about the "improvement" in the air conditioning. I'm sure the engineers at Keystone are great but I like our setup and I'll tell you why. Here in south Texas I like being able to dump the rear air conditioner on us in the recliners. In fact, I'd say it's essential. I wouldn't trust cooling coming from the vents in the late afternoon, sun shining on the rig at 95 degrees (+). Except for that I'm sure that the new 316 RLS is awesome like our 2021. Absolutely love your videos and watch all of them. Great to be able to keep up on what''s new (picking up some great tips) and your humor!

There are no whammies on either of these! Love the symmetrical kitchen, good storage all around, great layout and decor. I'm torn over the dining; I like the space and versatility of table & chairs, but the storage of the booth. I think one sink would have been sufficient in the bathroom (centered, with countertop space on both sides). There's not really enough room for 2 people to comfortably be in there simultaneously, anyway. Yes, I think the outlets on the theater seat should be on the front. Overall, great couple's rigs!

There you go again, Josh. Showing me a Cougar that's a real sweet package. I'll probably keep waffling back over to the Outback 328RL... at least until my -boss... err... I mean...- *wife* finally approves the business case for it. 😋 I like the standalone chairs with the dining table. More room... more practical; and the sleep space provided by the booth is too short for most people who who visit, or travel with us, anyway. The USB ports: not a good idea to put them in front. I can foresee them being regularly pulled out, as people walk past the front of the recliner. Better to have recessed USB ports in exactly the same position that they are, but with a cover-clamp to hold it in place, while simultaneously preventing the person sitting in the chair from destroying the USB plug with hip movement. The bathroom has one thing that's been mentioned in the past: a redundant sink. I'm 6'6" and 300 lbs, while my wife is 5'0" and 98 lbs. There's no way that the two of us are using a bathroom sink at the same time; and I seriously doubt many people can do it. One sink is enough. Redesign the counter with a more practical eye. 👁️ Bedroom: Maybe it would be better to offer a large window, or more storage shelves there, as an option to the TV prepped wall. I know that if I tried purchasing a TV for the bedroom, my wife would have me sleeping in the doghouse through the winter, as penance. 😳 With so many people owning smartphones and tablets, a TV in bed isn't on their list of things to get. Btw, I loved you Penguin impression! It was like you were channeling your inner James Cagney doing The Penguin. 😋👍

The DW and I currently have a love hate relationship with our booth. Like the extra storage it brings. But we don't care for actually sitting in it. The fridge, we like our gas/electric better. Hands down better for traveling. I also thought for sure we would want a second A/C unit. But since you mentioned the powered vent for boondocking, that's got me thinking maybe not. Absolutely love this model. Great video!! Really helps to determine what options we would prefer (free standing dinette, king bed, second AC). Still torn on the fridge though. Love the look of the smaller one, but it looked like it had wire shelves, which is a bummer :( Have they thought about putting bronze fixtures in this? We have kitchen cabinets similar to this in our house (aged white), and bronze fixtures look much better with that color palette than the brushed nickel. Also, wish they would option different window cornices. Seems small to most I'm sure. But that's one of the first things we'd get rid of. Arcadia has some nice ones that aren't so dated. Also tend to agree with one sink with more counter space, but can live with the 2. We have 2 in our house and still only end up using one of them lol. Also agree with the USB ports going on the front of the sofa. Regardless of body size, I think having a cord in that position would be uncomfortable. We are in SC but are very impressed with your channel and the information you provide, so we may be taking a trip to MI when we're ready to "get hitched." Ditch the bathroom double sink, moving the right one a little to the left. A medicine cabinet for toothpaste, shaving gear etc. Like the shower location idea. Those shower doors need to go, period. Uncle Josh, it would be a big help if you could provide the dimensions of the disassembled Hide A Bed in the living room. A photo of you lying down on the unfolded bed would also give a frame of reference as we know you are 6'3". The convertible bed doesn't look large enough for one averaged sized person let alone two. Thanks
@JoshtheRVNerd2 жыл бұрын
Definitely big enough for a pair of guests for the weekend. I've spent more than one weekend on one with my wife visiting my parents I don't have hard measurements for this but using other resources I have I can tell you it's "around" 62" x 73"

I would like the table and chairs, the king bed, 2 ac, and slide toppers.. As for the USB, your dead bang on.... Double them up in the front middle arm away from my Thunder thighs. Makes perfect sense... However I would not like the white cabinets at all. Now how does this match up on price point VS say the Montana 3230 ck? Cause I really think this is a contender for it

This is two solid pricing "levels" below that 3231CK (montana got rid of even numbers btw but still offers both fridges).

These are very nice but...when will the designers quit ending the awnings at the door.I had one but got rid of it because you get soaked on a rainy day going in and out.Either a longer awning or a design with a door under Center is the way to go.
@JoshtheRVNerd2 жыл бұрын
You're not wrong. On a rainy day it dribbles right in your face when positioned like that. But on models like this I'm just not sure there's a lot of alternatives. Door under the center of the awning prevents it for sure, but that's just not possible on this layout that I can see -- just nowhere to reposition the door.

I wouldn't want the residential refrigerator .would want the queen bed. I really would like to have the traditional medicine cabinet. My main thing is the lights above the island we have had two friends with the lights and both of them have gone into their camper after towing it to their destination open it up too see glass all over their counter. You need to let people know to wrap them with bubble wrap especially if going off the grid. I really don't think a different style would be as nice nor give the light as these do but they do swing and hit each other and break. All in all I really love this camper
